This game is a two-hour drive for UCF. Tropicana Field only has a football capacity of 28,000 and the vast majority will be rooting for Central Florida.

UCF is averaging 26.3 PPG (68th in the country) and it’s balanced on the ground and through the air. They’ve been hot their last three games, averaging 40 PPG, with running back Brynn Harvey averaging 133 YPG.

Big East Rutgers (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS) finished with a 3-4 SU record in the conference, tying for fourth place with Connecticut and South Florida. They’re putting up 27.2 PPG on offense, with the defense the standout unit at 17.4 PPG allowed. That’s 15th in the country.

Rutgers will have trouble running against the UCF defense, and scoring points will also be hard. Likewise, the Rutgers solid ‘D’ will cool off Central Florida.

Both UCF (5-0 ATS) and Rutgers (4-1 ATS) have good ATS road records, and it should be a very close game.

The kids from Central Florida had a very positive season with coach George O'Leary, one of the best in the business, and have a number of quality wins and close losses on their resume. Their 4 losses (against 8 wins), were to Texas, Miami (both ranked), and top Conference-USA foes Southern Miss and East Carolina. Those two conference losses were by 7 and 5 points, respectively, and the Knights got better as the season advanced, beating then-#13 Houston, 37-32, and closing out with a lopsided 49-0 squashing of Tulane and a nifty 34-27 road win over UAB, another C-USA stud team. While Rutgers has had plenty of press the past few years, UCF has quietly turning last season's 4-8 record into this year's 8-4. Look out!
