    Public Favorites

Are some of the favorites in the bigger games this weekend overvalued by the public?

The public is heavy on Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Mich. St. but the lines in each of these games is moving in the opposite direction; about 2.5 points on average.

Sounds like the public might be in for a beating this weekend.

The OP is right, the public is on all of those games he posted. There are several consensus sites where you can find that info.

The site I use gets their info from various sportsbooks. Besides, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know who the public is on. Every team the OP listed are high profile top ranked teams that the public takes every week. The Steelers play the Jags, I don't need to check a site to know who the public will be betting on.

oh I get it now they get it from the nice sportsbooks who like to hand over that info.....no it doesn't take a rocket scientist but it takes a sportsbook whos looking to lose money and I don't know of one that exists.....did you ever think the bookies know that the average gambler thinks they know who the public is betting on?

So you don't think the public is on Okla, Bama, Mich St and Wisc? Do you think the public is split 50-50 on those? The average bettor will be on all four of those "public" teams I can guarantee you, and I don't need a site to tell me, it's obvious. The public loves taking favorites regardless of what sport it is, and when it comes to college football, they're almost always on the top ten teams

The public..95% of the time is on the favorite..

Whenever you see the public all over an underdog, that is when you bet the favorite! Doesn't hit all the time b/c there are variables that nobody can predict. But most cases...if the public loves the underdog..Take the favorite. Duke vs Miami last week is the perfect example. Everyone on the board loved Duke +7. People were touting money-line , etc..But Miami covered.

Here is a list of favorites that the public is currently fading this week:
    Ohio St
    Army
    Miss St
    Miami OH
    Central Michigan
    Bowling Green
    Stanford
    Clemson
    Georgia
    Colorado
    Toledo
    La Lafayette
    Auburn

If you take all these teams...I would BET you come out on top!
