Have been a daily better for 10+ years and have wagered well over 5million over that span..

Could care less about the $400 loss.. Was just in awe of how it went down and have never seen anything worse... Since you have had this bad of a beat so many times, let's hear one?

I'm willing to bet it was about a $10 wager. Tell me I'm wrong.

BYU screwed me last night too...only $150 though so nowhere near your crying amount I'm guessing. BYU should have went out of bounds before the strip that led to that Hail Mary and Houston definitely shouldn't have been in that game like they were...tough beat man. Get it back this weekend.

Yea that whole game was a mess.. Really not concerned about the money, just how it happened was crazy.

I don't look at it as a $400 loss, I look at is as double that as not only was the $400 lost, but also that money that the win would have resulted in.

Oh well, gl on your $10 wagers this weekend. Hope you hit them all

I got fvkked on this as well. I stopped watching as BYU was driving as I was sure it would hit. Started celebrating my Ravens bet, got ready for the 3rd quarter. I look up at the scoreboard and surely it's an error. I look on espn.com and they must have the wrong score too. I rewind the dvr and I'm totally shocked. How in the hell did that bet lose? BYU and all the fvkking turnovers. Screwed up my BYU -16 game bet too. Pathetic. I didn't cry but I sure wanted to throw up.

Sure, bad beats happen, but they are still bad beats and often leave a mark. I'm still reeling from the Tulsa/Tulane game. I have Tulane +6.5, they are up 8 points with 2.5 minutes in the game, they have the ball 1st and goal. There's no possible way this bet loses right? Fvkking kicker misses a 20 yard FG, Tulsa drives the ball down the field, scores a last second TD, makes the 2 point conversion, even though the receiver was laying out of bounds (refs didn't even review it), takes it to overtime. In OT, Tulane gets the ball first. Great, 6.5 pretty much has to hit. Oh, no, both teams hit FGs. Now Tulsa goes first and of course they score a TD and Tulane throws an interception on the very next play. I lose.

These 2 games were unfvkkking real. What made them tough was that both teams should have scored and put the game away, then in horrific fashion, they give up a WTF TD as time expires. You never hear from the guys who were lucky enough to be on the other side. They know they just tempted fate and are too giddy to gloat.

Typical BYU. More shady shit happens in BYU games ATS than any other athletic program in the country.

You put $400 on a first half parlay in a Houston-BYU game?

    That's asinine.

about as asinine as risking "28 air units" on a 3rd string qb starting his first game on the road.

This shit happens all the time. I remember losing pitt vs Jax mon night football 1998. Pitt was covering the whole game. They line up to kick a gw fg with 3 secs left. Jax blocks it and runs it back 70 yrds. Jax didnt have to run it back the game was over....how's that one. Went from winning a reverse to losing money

Promise yourself you will never gamble again. You don't understand lesson number one about gambling.
BAD beats = unconscious wins. They always equal out if you play long enough.
Your problem is basic money management. You simply bet too much of your bankroll on one play.
You should not care if you win or lose if your bankroll is set up right.
Please stay out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat. This is not for you.

I disagree with that statement. Being upset about a bad beat doesn't mean you are not managing a BR properly. What bothers me about bad beats is if you know you had the right side (and put a lot of time into coming up with the right side) and lost because of bad luck. It still hurts.

$400 to some is a lot, and to others is nothing. It's an average size bet for me.. Regardless, that has nothing to do with anything..

This bet was a correlated parlay that historically hits over 60%. Most books will not take this bet as it takes the edge away from them. Normally need to use locals that don't know any better.

I have made over 40k off these correlated situations over the past 6 yrs since learning of them and it is a constant struggle to find new books to take them after getting cut off by cleaning out the others..
You find qualifying situations and make two parlays-- one on the over and the favorite and another on the underdog..

Still asinine? Pay attention maybe you can learn a thing or two... Eventually you may be able to graduate from betting strictly air

Then if you also remember correctly I lost that money on mlb.. Got killed that yr.. Not once did I say I am a great gambler and win money in all sports every yr..Also had a tracking thread earlier this yr that I stopped up like 7k.. Ups and downs of gambling. Regardless.. Yes, I have killed it in football on these bets consistently over the past 6 yrs.. They are particularly helpful when mlb beats me up.. Luckily this yr that wasn't the case .. And since you follow me so closely, you know that gtbets just cut me off after taking 20k from them this summer in mlb..

I know it's hard for you to fathom , but some of us around here bet real money and deal with the ups and downs of losing and winning 10k+ on any given stretch.. And can actually post screen shots if ever requested.. Some thing crusty has been begging you to do for yrs and you can't even post one.. Betting air would be nice every once In a while tho .. Probably a lot less stressful huh?

It doesn't happen all the time, which is why when it happens it's so memorable. 16 years later and you still remember Pitt/Jax

Eventually enough is enough. I could walk up to that guy, punch him in the face and knock him out and take a shit on his unconscious body and it wouldn't be enough for him.
