    What We Learned Last Week

Here's what really went down while you guys were boasting and posting:

ACC: 9-3. 9-3 is not bad. Unfortunately when the #2 team (Clemson) get's cruched, and the #1 team imperesses no one, it is not good. The ACC is up against it. Teams like Syracuse, and N.C. State barely got past FCS rivals. The ACC was 1-2 against Power 5 teams. It is Florida State or no one from this conference.

Big 12: 6-3. Not bad. OU, Baylor and Texas did what they were suppose to do, even though OU failed to cover a 38 point number. Okie State and West Virginia played well in defeat. Texas Tech and Iowa State were terrible even though Tech won against Central Arkansas. This conference will be interesting.

Big 10: 12-2. A very good week for the Big 10. Ohio State crushed a bunch of you Navy believers in her. The Big 10 East is for real. The West? Wisky fell apart in the 4th Qtr, and has no passsing attack, as stated by myself. Northwestern really did poorly against Cal, making up for Rutgers big come from behind win over Wazzu. Nebraska looked good. Iowa did not. This conference is owned by the East.

Pac 12: 10-2. No real surprises here. UCLA did not look good in their win against Virginia. USC kicked the crap out of a bad Fresno State team. They look like they may mean business this season. Both Arizona schools and Utah had no problems. Oregon did what people expect out of Oregon. Ditto Stanford. Washington and Oregon state looked bad in wins. Wazzu replaced Cal as the worst team in the North, and Colorado cemented it's spot as #6 in the South.

SEC: 10-3. The SEC minus a couple of teams, looked poor last week. Cudo's to Georgia and Tennessee in the East, and A&M in the West. The rest? 'Bama, Auburn, and South Carolina have no defense. LSU has no offense. Ole Miss was held to 7-6 after 3 quarters by a MWC team. I can see a very closly contested chanpionship race, with no one escaping with one loss or less. That could mean no Playhoff game for the SEC.

Overall: ESPN/SEC is disgusting. Alabama and Auburn play poorly, so Herbie pushes Georgia to the top of the national list. Fortunately for the rest of the nation, we do not have to put up with this caca any more. ESPN has NOTHING to say or do with who gets selected. My Top 4 teams as of today: Oregon, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State. No doubt that this will change over the weeks.

SEC has been overrated for years.....it's not as strong & deep as people claim. Bobby Stoops is right
