The money has come in on Virginia in this one and it’s flatout the wrong side. The sole reason for backing Virginia has to be the factthat UCLA is traveling across country for an early game. The Bruins are by farthe better team. They have 17 starters back from a 10-3 campaign last season. Highlightingthose returning is Heisman hopeful QB Brett Hundley. Hundley is extremely talentedand will have more than enough weapon available to tear apart this Virginiateam.
As for the Cavaliers, Mike London has just done an awfuljob. Many thought that London would be just what the team needed to turn thingsaround. He’s now 18-31 in his time at Virginia and it’s looking like this willbe his final season. London runs a tight ship and doesn’t let his players getaway with much nonsense. The downside to that is he’s not getting the qualityof recruits necessary to compete in the ACC. They’ve also had some injuryconcerns and don’t have anything special at quarterback. This team only won 2games last season and were just getting their doors blown off at the tail endof the year.
Now that the number is below 21 I feel very comfortable inrecommending UCLA for today’s FREE play.
