    Bowl Games Confidence Pools

Alright everybody, that time of year again. Bowl-maniacs rejoice!

Basically, a confidence pool is one in which you rank each bowl from 1-34. If I was 100% confident that Alabama would beat Texas, I would rank it 34. If I had absolutely no clue who would win, I'd rank it 1 (least confident). Whoever has the MOST points right at the end of the pool wins. Simple enough, right?

My question to all: What would you rank the bowl games this year? (i.e. what would your confidence rankings be?)

Initially, I am not seeing any ridiculous upsets, but I will continue to look. Feel free to post your rankings, I will when mine are done!

My first rank this year is prob going to be Texas Tech over Mich. St. This game is going to be played in Texas and the Spartans did not look very good against good teams this year. I would probably rank this between 34-30 on my list. Also, just quickly looked at Nevada over SMU. That one is probably also in the 30s for my rankings.

There are too many games to be ranking 1-34. I assume that the line is not involed here, so the obvious plays would be to take the huge favorites and rank them high. Pick your upsets and rank them low. Other than that, I have no guess.

Interesting....I was going to start this very thread myself today. I am involved in one of these pools and I never seem to do well. I am anxious to hear what everyone has to say.

Yes you pick these games straight up. It's a interesting way to do things since you don't need to have the most correct in order to win, just the most points at the end. I will add my thoughts and picks once I get thru looking at all these games!

Yes I agree this is a lot of games, but it's played in almost the same way as march madness brackets are. POINTS wins you the pool, not percentage of picks correct. The thing that makes this interesting is that most bowl games are close matches (i.e. not too many huge underdogs).
