Top 15 is spot on. But how the Horns made it to 24 I have no clue, sympathy vote I presume. And Replace the Rebels at 19 with instate SEC West rival Miss St.

UNC and Texas need to not be ranked

Auburn is NOT close to being a Top 10 team. They will lose at least 3 games. The funny thing about this poll is that there are 62 voters. 56 voted for Florida State, and the other 6 votes went to various teams, but NO First Place Votes went to #2 Alabama. The poll is just another waste of time and shows that the coaches or whoever does their voting for them, know nothing except how to follow along.

Florida will finish top 25 is my prediction, friend is the punter and good friends with Driskel. He's healthy this year which will make a big difference, IF he stays that way. Lots of talent in Gainesville

Wisky needs to find out whom their QB will be. They have a very good defense this year, and of course once again one of the best o-lines in the game. The game changer this year is Melvin Gordon who is a sleeper to win the heisman . He would of been a first round pick in the NFL draft but decided to return. If you look at Wisconsins schedule this year, if they can get by LSU, they really don't play anyone who can really challenge them. Of course crazier losses have happened, but if they stay up to pace they should see themselves back in the big 10 championship game with the winner going into the new playoff system.

no its all based off last year performance, recruiting rankings, pixie dust and hopes and dreams etc etc ....in other words they mean very little lets see if wisky looks like they should be one spot behind LSU when they play.

Wisky loses too many starters to be considered a legitimate threat to Ohio State or Michigan State. A loss to LSU will end Wisky's dram of a playoff appearance. They have a very weak schedule, but do not be suprised to see an additional loss or two after the LSU game. Wisky is very one dementional on offense, and that is what kills Big 10 teams.

They wont but with that weak as schedule wisky has they'll look good along the way. They aren't beating LSU You'll see if they can stay within double digits i'd be shocked.

I agree. These polls will move teams up or down depending on who they play next, to try and build up some hype for the game.

New OC in town helps coming from Duke and that backfield looks solid. Hear the freshman is the darkhorse of the unit coming out of spring ball.

Who the hell gave Georgia Tech two votes? We've got 74 scholarship players on the roster.

That does not matter at all. You only play 11 at a time. The question is just how good are those players. In the case of Ga. Tech, they are average at best. This season Tech has to depend on a new QB (Thomas) and a defense that loses 6 starters. A 4-4 conference record and a 7 win season is about all you can expect from this group. Tech has not had a season with less than 3 losses since Johnson has been there and this certainly will not change this season.

Who would they lose to? They have a good defense. They have always been one dem, offense but for one year with Wilson. Their running game will allow the QB to just make the easy pass to the open guy when are are putting 9 people in the box. Stave was pretty bad at times last year, but you would think a 2nd year as the starter he will improve. He has a strong arm, its about just not making the dumb mistakes. Chris Clement and Gordon Average Per Carry is crazy. Wisky should be able to average 250 rush yards per game easily. If Wisky can just make enough passes to deep to keep the defense up they should have no problem with Nebraska or Iowa, really the only two teams that they could drop to. Usually when you think about teams rushing the ball its about T.O.P, but when you have Gordon/Clement averaging 7 yards per carry, the offense really scores fast.

Forgot to mention that McEvoy red shirt junior i believe for Wisky, realy could be the game changer for this team. He is a duel threat QB, who has been pretty much matching Stave in the training camps. If he can outduel Stave and take over it will just add anther element to Wisky. But either way, even with two losses. It will come down to Wisconsin vs Whomever whens the East in the big 10 conference. Wisky really got a godsend in that they don't have to have Michigan or OSU.

Said the same thing about Gregg Mac and AJ couple years ago. Whether its Coker (probably will be) or one of the other top 3 in the fight it doesn't matter. Lane Kiffin is like a kid in a candy shop with the weapons so it won't matter as much as it would for most teams. And the Defense depth plus the favorable schedule minus the trip to LSU....done deal.

I agree preseason polls are pretty much meaningless, no poll should be considered in rankings until Sept is over.

That being said, its a good omen for Bama not getting the #1 spot. Been over a decade since the preseason #1 ended up winning it all so curse if on FSU now. Bama won its 3 after starting below the top spot and lost it last year when picked preseason so just superstition to chew on.

Spurrier doesn't do that at all....always votes for the "other guys" and never himself or his players in all of these things coaches can vote on

SC will be good this year even though we lost some talent...Longest home winning streak in the country right now and 3 straight top 10 finishes, not many schools can say that

Probably just some random coach that is good friends with Spurrier

I agree that LSU is too low, but if they play well they will rise quickly.
