    Two Bowls Set

Two Bowls are set, and other teams have accepted invites to other bowls. The Cotton Bowl will feature Oklahoma State against Mississippi. The Chick-Fil-A Bowl will feature Virginia Tech facing Tennessee.

Other teams that are headed to bowl games are Fresno State to the New Mexico Bowl, USF across the street to the St. Petes Bowl, Troy to the New Orleans Bowl, SMU to the Hawaii Bowl (the return of June Jones), Navy to the Texas Bowl, Auburn to the Outback Bowl, and Ohio State to the Rose Bowl.

This is what they are trying to do, but the ACC has to approve it because Florida State's record against othe ACC teams is not as good as it must be. The rule is that a team may jump another team if they have one less conference win than that other team. Flordia State has 4 conference wins. Clemson has 6. Ga. Tech has 7. The loser of the Clemson-Ga. Tech game this week would get screwed out of good bowl game, just because of selfish reasons. Miami, who had 5 Conference wins, and also beat Florida State would also get screwed.

I think this is a total sham. The Gator Bowl wants to get big T.V. rating for Bowden's last game as a coach. I ask you this. Which game will you watch. The Gator Bowl between a lousy Florida State team and a flakey West Virginia team, or the Capital One Bowl, which goes on at the same time, between Penn State and LSU? I think the choice is obvious. JoePa finishes ahead of Bowden again.

If the ACC is smart, they hae Bowden go to the Champs Bowl, against Northwestern or Wisconsin, with no other games being televised on that night. If they are looking for good T.V. ratings, that is how to do it.

Thanks for info! Might fade some of these teams this week that are already "set".
