    Mizzou Rolls

What am I missing here? Mizzou played a MUCH tougher schedule... their only two losses was by 3 to a TOUGH SC team..and by 17 to a flaming hot Auburn team. OKSU had success against an average big 12. MIZZOUS big talented Wideouts will give OKSU a tough time all game. Anyone else backing Mizzou?

Mizzou getting +1 1/2. I'm scratching my head...

I'm still not sold on Mizzou because they avoided the top 2 teams in the SEC this year and really lost to the only two quality teams they played South Carolina and Auburn. Duke hung with A&M and Georgia had tons of people out for that game and Florida is trash. Wish they would of played Bama and LSU to see where this team really is. Being so close to being in the title game I'm not really sure how there gonna come out.....and yes I know WVU beat Oklahoma State

Nope. Public play and reverse line movement.

Even if you don't believe in conspiracy theories, I would seriously question their motivation for this game as well as their ability to play defence after the shellacking from Auburn.

Why would Missouri lack motivation? They exceeded all preseason expectations this year to be in the running for the NC game all the way to the SEC title game. A win tonight validates them as legit after Auburn ran over them.

Also, facing a former conference foe is notable. They haven't actually faced a B12 opponent since leaving for the SEC and a win tonight would be a strong statement that they moved on to bigger and better things. A loss would sting.

I hear you brother, there is only 1 problem. Lang is taking his stellar 1-13 bowl record into this affair and he is on Missouri

I think the key to this game is in OK State's average/weak run blocking from their OL versus Mizzou's excellent run defense. Missouri's true defensive strength is in being able to stop the run between the tackles with their front line personnel, giving them more flexibility in pass defense schemes. If you exclude the Auburn game as an aberration, which I don't think is unreasonable, they gave up only 3.5 ypc this season.

OK State's OL is great in pass protection but doesn't do a lot to create space for their tailbacks. If Missouri can contain the Cowboys run game, then their receivers are going to find themselves smothered by double coverage for most of the game, with the team behind the chains, struggling to convert 3rd & long to sustain drives.

The weak Big 12? Didn't Alabama just get beat by one of those "weak" Big 12 teams. Again, it is the team, NOT the conference that counts in Bowl Games. I guess some of you will just never learn, despite some heavy losses. A pass on this game.

Oklahoma State battles Missouri in the AT&T Cotton Bowl on Jan. 3 in AT&T Stadium in Arlington. An inside-the-numbers look at the matchup between former Big Eight and Big 12 Conference foes:

    An Oklahoma State Win Would...
    • Be the Cowboys' 10th in their last 11 games vs. current members of the Southeastern Conference.
    • Improve the Cowboys to 16-1 in their last 17 non-conference games.
    • Be the Cowboys' fifth straight neutral site victory.
    • Make this year's senior class the winningest in school history with 42 wins over the last four years.
    • Improve the Cowboys to 10-4 in their last 14 games against ranked opponents.
    • Be its 51st in the last five seasons.
    • Improve the Cowboys to 11-2 on the year, marking the third time in the last four seasons that OSU has hit the 11-win mark. Prior to Mike Gundy taking over as head coach in 2005, Oklahoma State had no 11-win seasons and only three 10-win seasons in 102 seasons of football - 1984, 1987 and 1988. Gundy quarterbacked the 1987 and 1988 squads.

    Oklahoma State in Non-Conference Games
Oklahoma State is 15-1 in its last 16 non-conference games, dating back to the start of the 2010 season.

Oklahoma State in Neutral Site Games
The Cowboys have won their last four neutral site games, claiming a 36-10 win over Arizona in the 2010 Alamo Bowl, a 41-38 win over Andrew Luck and No. 4 Stanford in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl, a 58-14 win over Purdue in the 2013 Heart of Dallas Bowl and a 21-3 win over Mississippi State in the 2013 Advocare Texas Kickoff. Since Mike Gundy took over the program in 2005, the Cowboys are 7-2 in neutral-site games.

Notable Streaks Entering the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic
    • Oklahoma State has scored 20 or more points in 51 consecutive games dating back to the start of the 2010 season. That streak is the longest active streak in the country and the second-longest since Division I split into the FBS/FCS in 1978, trailing only USC's 63 straight games of 20 or more points from Sept. 2, 2002 through Nov. 25, 2006.
    • OSU has at least one touchdown drive of faster than two minutes in each of its last 34 games and in 50 of its last 51 contests.
    • Dating back to 2005, the Cowboys have won 19 consecutive games when not committing a turnover.
    • The Cowboys have forced at least one turnover in 20 straight games.
    • Oklahoma State has won nine of its last 10 games against current members of the SEC.
    • OSU has either won or tied the turnover battle in 19 of its last 23 games.
    • Dating back to the 2008 season, the Cowboys have won 34 of their last 35 games when winning the turnover battle.
    • Linebacker Shaun Lewis has started 44 straight games. Linebacker Caleb Lavey and safety Daytawion Lowe have each started 38 straight games, respectively.

Tigers looked mighty motivated to me.
