A little late on a great number but in this spot, I don't mind. I usually don't prefer throwing down money on point totals quite this high but tonight is an exception. By all accounts, Texas A&M sophomore QB Johnny Manziel is going to the NFL. His number 1 go to target in 6 ft 5 Mike Evans will likely follow. When draft stock and money is on the line, there's no need to question motivation. Even when you have it, it's only human nature to want more of it. Duke will be without their leading rusher in Jela Duncan due to suspension but they do have/use 2 mobile junior QB's in Anthony Boone and Brandon Connette with Connette being more the short yardage specialist. Duke WR Jamison Crowder is legit and his 96 catches 1,196 yards receiving this season proves it. There task to put as many points on the scoreboard as possible will be easier because arguably one of Texas A&M's best defensive players in LB Darian Claiborne will be out suspended(drugs are bad) a massive blow to an already below average defense. Offensive coordinator for Duke Kurt Roper is leaving for Florida and I would expect these players to put on an up-tempo show for a guy who spent 6 years there. If anything, I'm pretty sure Roper wants to prove his system can work against SEC defenses. I expect playing indoors on an artificial surface would favor both these offenses and a 50 point performance by the Aggies tonight is not out of the question.
