Duke has to get by Alabama

Duke has looked shaky. Arizona has looked dominant. Drexel has the higher upset potential and I think Duke gets by Bama without too much issue. That isn't the point though.

These two top 5 programs have a high likelihood for matching up next Friday. What's the line?

I've been wrestling with this one for a while, and believe this should open up as a PK. 1 or 2 points either way to steer money. So, realistically all you have to do is pick the winner.

I watch Pac-12 stuff because I like USC programs to an extent (I rep Stanford in football but Marqise Lee is my ninja), and I think <st1:State w:st="on"><ST1Oregon</ST1</st1:State> has a cool looking court. John Wooden is dead, so I think PAC 12 basketball is just blah. Now I have seen Gordon play and I think he is very good and <st1:State w:st="on"><ST1Arizona</ST1</st1:State> should absolutely win the PAC-12 and I will be shocked if they don’t.<O</O

But here are some things I don’t believe about Arizona: I don’t believe they will be in the Final Four (depending on brackets, I think the 4 best teams in no particular order come that time of the year will be Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan State, and Duke), and I don’t believe Gordon is as good as Parker. I believe Duke is the better all around team (even if they don’t really play defense right now), and mainly I don’t believe Duke will lose a second big time ranked game this early, like they lost to Kansas. If Duke could have hit free throws that night and maybe contained that big balding guy on K<st1:State w:st="on"><ST1nsas</ST1</st1:State> (but mainly it was the awful FT %) they would have won that game.<O</O

Kansas at +150 seems crazy. How long has that been free money? Obviously OK St. being the one everyone is counting on to knock Kansas off.

I have no idea who is going to challenge Kentucky. Florida looks awful.

That is legitimately Arizona's only concern right now. Only glaring weakness is their FT shooting. Arizona, for the most part, have shown where they are at with FT shooting with career percentages. Shit just isn't going in the hoop. Best FT shooter number wise is atrocious form the line so far this season.

Duke will get calls, they always do. Have to game plan for it. If Arizona continues to shoot from the line as bad as they have this year, its going to be a hard game to win.

Idk if you have watched but I would say Rodney hood has been just as good and made more clutch shots in 2nd half. Also shooting 72% from the field and 72% from 3 isn't bad either. Definitely not a 1 man wrecking crew

Ya they should handle bama easily. Seems like duke gets up double digits early then coach k starts rotating guys in who see very limited minutes, who usually wouldn't even play in big games. That's when ecu made their run so I look for coach k to play his 8-9 until late and it's gets out of hand. They also seem to have adapted to the new hand checking, blocking rules very well after that atrocious kansas game where they committed 29 fouls. Really like the Parker, hood, sulaimon scoring combo.

i think the line will be a pick, if not duke favored by a couple.

Barely any of the top 10 teams do that anymore. Check out the schedules from the last few years. Nobody's going OOC. It's all neutral site games. Big 10-ACC challenge is an exception, and even some of those are "neutral" (played in the United Center/GC etc)

Arizona just got back from a legit road game against a tough opponent.

Sad seeing powerhouse teams schedule in such a way. OOC games used to be the highlight of most seasons.

Big games tonight to decide if this game happens.

Arizona opened at -10 v Drexel (a very good team) and has since moved to -12, meaning I probably beat the closer. There was a injury rumored last night, and it turns out Drexel is without a main front court player. They are already short on depth, and short in size. Arizona can truly abuse Drexel inside.

On the otherside, Duke is in a battle with Bama tonight. Duke has looked shaky, and Bama is pretty physical. If bama can take it inside on Duke, it might be a game.

Either way, I really hope Arizona v. Duke happens this Friday.
