what do you mean crossing 0? lost that teaser by .5 because houston WR fumbled on the 1 yard line lol. Also, teasing it down to below 2 TDs and also a TD and a field goal seemed like key numbers to me. Feel like i capped this one right, but was on the wrong side of 1/2 a pt.

Normally, crossing zero on a favorite to +points is a no-no, but is still up for debate.

Oh, I didn't realize there was a term for doing that (crossing 0). I do it all the time and have had success... I am just a little confused on people shredding this bet seeing as I was .5 pt away from cashing it.

It's kind of like playing Blackjack at a casino. If you don't play the exact strategy, people get mad. Then some novice comes by, wins some money, and people getting even more mad!

When I cross 0, I do it because I feel that the under dog can win, but if they doit will be a really close game but by crossing 0 and not laying the points on the underdog, im protected against the blow out win by the favorite. Thought that was reasonable logic. And I understand what you are saying about the key numbers but if you watched Houston vs Rutgers game last week I doubt you would be betting even a dollar on USF haha

If you feel as if the underdog could win why would you cross 0 to bet the favorite? There aren't many opportunities to "protect" yourself when wagering on football. In other words, you can't have your cake and eat it too! If you are unsure on a game then pass on it. When you start playing conservative (or to protect yourself) you will lose more often than not. If you think a dog might win, then bet the dog! I have been around sports wagering for close to 45 years. Show me a teaser player and I will show you a loser. Teasers should be action or fun plays only.

NFL teasers seem to be more profitable than college games. I keep getting killed on Saturdays and killing it on Sundays.
