Washington did outplay Stanford and still lost. The good teams don't lose those kind of games. The Huskies had 489 total yards while Stanford had only 279. The real difference in that game was the kickoff return for a touchdown by Stanford , without it they come up short. Hey, the good teams make big plays in big games and that's why the Ducks are going to not only beat the Huskies but also cover. I would bet my house that the Huskie defense won't hold the Ducks to 279 total yards. The Ducks get 450+ !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole underdog at home is all relative and subjective. The selling point is Oregon's quick, explosive offense and them covering the 38 point spreads consistently. Is Washington gonna score? Sure. Last year Stanford beat Oregon, so Oregon is beatable. Washington is much better than in recent years. They're also changing their defensive strategy. Rather than try to chase down the Oregon running backs after they get loose (virtually impossible), they're going to sit back and watch the play start to develop and try to stop it near the line of scrimmage. They're putting in extra morning practice time to get this strategy down. It might work.

washington showed very well. oregon just much much better offense (and yes, i bet the huskies).
extremely impressed by mariota and the passing game. they didn''t really have to show it that much vs. tennessee and virginia (2 games i saw a fair bit of)..
but against washington that was ranked #3 defense in country (masseyratings) before the game oregon's passing game looked amazing. so crisp.
i don't think getting rid of sarkisian is the answer..... not sure about who graduates from defense but grad of keith price is going to hurt. but washington should be even better in 2 years (better recruiting recent years. lots of positive momentum)
