    West Virginia Starting Redshirt Freshman QB

    Ford Childress looked good in his first start last week in place of an ineffective Paul Millard (25-for-41, 359 yards, 3 TDs), but that was vs. Georgia State of the FCS and was at home. Mountaineers are +4.5 at Maryland this week.

    He was in for 6 snaps in Week 1, threw incompletions on both his passes and hasn't played since. Odd considering competition was supposedly between him and Millard for starting job, Holgorsen must not like something.
