ESPN announces 2013's 69 weeknight college football games

ESPN unveiled its weeknight primetime college football schedule for the 2013 season, and it's a lot more than just MACtion.
The highlight of the 69 games is easily Oregon-Stanford on Nov. 7, perhaps two of the top three teams in college football last season. Last year's game was an overtime thriller with the Cardinal knocking off the Ducks, 17-14, on a field goal, a loss that kept Oregon out of the national championship game and put Stanford into the Pac-12 title game. This year, the squads will meet at Stanford on a Thursday night, and the team that wins will probably be the one that represents the Pac-12 North with a chance to win the conference title.
The season's first week has a host of weeknight games: nine on Aug. 29, including North Carolina-South Carolina and the SEC's first game of the year between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, plus four games on Aug. 30 and Florida State-Pittsburgh on Sept. 2.
There's a fair share of MAC games -- 18, to be exact -- as the high-octane mid-major conference will appear in the Tuesday/Wednesday time slots that made them the darling of the college football internets, but there's also games between the big boys. There are seven ACC conference matchups, three Pac-12 games, two games from the Big 12 and SEC, and one game from the Big Ten.

Oregon-Stanford has the potential to be a top-5 showdown which would be strange to see as a Thursday night game.

The problem is this. 9 of those games are on ESPN3, another way of saying who cares. 19 games are on ESPNU, which is another way of saying you can watch this game if the other televised games are too boring or get out of hand. 2 games are either on 3 or U. So 30 out of those 69 televised games are basically your "throw away" games.

BigDaddy... the two of us have been gambling long enough to know that if there is a line available, and if we've got money on it, there's no such thing as a throw-away game.
