    E. Carolina @ SMU

    from what i've gathered, alot of people around here are favoring SMU. just thought i'd provide a little more information and get some opinions. E. Carolina is coming off of road win @ Marshall (by 4 points) where as SMU is coming home from a 3 game road trip (which included 2 losses to TCU and WSH St.). E. Carolina is 1-3 ATS this year and with the exception of the win at marshall, they haven't faired to well on the road (or covered). E. Carolina gives up a bunch of yards threw the air which is the strength of the SMU offense. After all, there coach is the same coach that helped Colt Brennan break the record for most passing tds in a season at Hawaii. I'm leaning towards SMU but still a little undecided.

    Take SMU...they'll be throwing the ball all over the field against this D. Not to mention the time zone difference when traveling west. I think anytime you find yourself in a situation where you are getting points and you think that team has a chance for an outright win, that's a good bet.

    I live in Dallas, and SMU is a perennial disappointment, but I think this is the right week to play them. We should have a winner if we can make it through the game without a pick-six by Bo Levi.

    yo M.W. whats the general opinion on june jones over there? i know he hasnt done much. are they calling for his head yet? just curious bc im a big hawaii fan and we are hurting without him.

    My SMU friends are still pretty optimistic and willing to give him more time. He definitely did a good job at UH, but I believe he had a slow start there too.

    PICK ECU, -6.5, this is their game to shine, they will come out in a BIG way this Saturday. Trust me, these guys are planning on going undefeated in C-USA and I don't see this as the week they will fail at their one realistic goal that they've set for themselves this season.
