    Alabama Hires New O-Line Coach

Nick Saban has hired former FIU head coach Mario Cristobal as his new offensive line coach. Cristobal, a Miami native and former Hurricane football player will replace Jeff Stoutland who left for the same position with the Philadelphia Eagles.

"He has an outstanding reputation as both a coach and recruiter," said Saban. The key word from Saban is recruiter. No matter how good a coach one might be, if he can't recruit...he won't work at Alabama. Coaches simply don't coach under Saban unless they can recruit.

By the way, any good athletes come out of Miami and the South Florida area? Just asking.

    Bama Hires Another Assistant Coach

Billy Napier is leaving Florida State to become wide receivers coach at Alabama. Napier will replace Mike Groh, who's leaving for the Chicago Bears. Napier's decision to leave Florida State comes less than two months after his arrival in Tallahassee. He was hired as the Noles tightends coach/recruiting coordinator on January 15. Napier, widely regarded as one of the nation's top recruiters, will have big shoes to fill replacing Groh who was recently named Rivals Recruiter of the Year. Napier will give the Tide a strong recruiter in the ACC Region, especially in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
