There are a number of college football coaches entering this season on a short lease. Here's a look at four.

Randy Edsall - Maryland
Former coach Ralph Friedgen was run out of town after going 9-4 in 2010. Enter Randy Edsall. During Edsall's two seasons, the Terps have gone 6-18. He will need vast improvement with this football program in order to survive.

Mack Brown - Texas
Since the 2005 national championship season, the Horns have been relative mediocrity. Brown made $5.2 million last season and many Longhorn faithful are worried he's not earning it. 2013 a key year or Brown may be just facing early retirement.

Lane Kiffin - USC
The microscope is on Kiffin for sure, especially after last season's disaster. USC started off ranked the No. 1 team in the country and fell completely out of the top-25 ratings. A 7-6 season during 2012 has Kiffin walking a very tight rope.

Paul Pasqualoni - Connecticut
Back to back 5-7 seasons have many UConn fans saying "we told you so." They didn't want Pasqualoni in the first place. Turns out so far...they were right.

I sure there are others. Feel free to list them.......................
