    Stanford +29?

I'm I nuts for liking the Cardinal in this game?

Cal has pretty much nothing to play for because I believe they have accepted the invite to the Holiday bowl. Not to mention this is a very big rivalry game.

Any thoughts would be kindly appreciated

They are just beyond horrible though and rumblings that Walt may be fired.

While it is true that Cal has nothing to play for, Stanford is just SO bad that the Bears could sleepwalk to a 35-point win here. Not that I would put any money on either side.\

    Good Luck to All

Dan, Stanford makes sense from a technical standpoint. I just can't back this team at any number.

I agree and this comes from the idiot who donated tons of money backing Utah State on a weekly basis. If anything, I would wait until HT, but the weather around the Bay has been freezing with rain, so that may neutralize Cal's advantage a little, but I'm gonna look for something better on the board.

I hear what your saying guys. However, With this being a rivalery game +29 points. I just feel like theres some nice value here. Maybe i'll wait until game time and see what that line does.

i just dont see stanford scoring more then 10 points against cal, meaning cal has to score at least 39 points.
can cal score 39 points on stanford?
they scored 42 against minnisota, 49 against arizona st, 41 against oregon st, 45 against oregon and 38 against ucla. i would figure the number of pos. for cal would be even higher then the above teams as they scored 17, 16, 21, 24 and 24 points giving cal an even greater opportunity to score beyond 39 points that is if stanford can only score 10 points then they wont have the ball as much as it takes to score 17,16, 21,24 and 24 points. iow that just gives cal that many more ball pos. to score that many more points.
29 is a lot of points but i get cal to win from 29.5 to 33 averaging out to 31.80

Even with their bowl pre-determined, this IS a rivalry, and Cal won't pass up the opportunity to blow out a hapless Stanford. Cal 48-7

I echo razz's feelings here...that's a ton of points, but Stanford is garbage...last year Cal ran it up on them at the end too...

If nothing else, Stanford will treat this as their bowl game. Cal is liable to come out like they did against Washington. Like I said, I can't bet them, but if you do bet them and win, I'd commend you for it.

I would have to lean towards Cal but that is alot of points. Stanford is horrible.

26-17 Cal wins, but falls far from the cover. Im not sure if you bet it or not Dan, but good eye on this one.
