Does Oregon even care about the Fiesta Bowl????

how motivated do you guys think Oregon will be?

Will they just go through the motions since they are
devastated about not playing in the big game?

They play so fast they won't have time to not care I'm not overly impressed with kstate to begin with anyway. I think Oregon can get up 10 on them by games end

The Pac 12 has sure looked human in the bowl games
    this far.

Maybe Oregon is the exception and they are legit

I keep hearing people say Kansas State is similar to Stanford

will Oregon be missing any key starters for this game?

    ofcourse they did.

But ya know Oregon has been here before.

Kansas State is kinda like a cinderella story... they
arent exactly a powerhouse football program.

i just hope Oregon doesnt take this team lightly and
i hope they show no mercy.

you could make the argument that K St has value at near 10 even if Oregon cares fully.

I'd lean K St very small, but there are other bowl lines coming up I think might have much greater value

This is one of the best matchups of the entire bowl season, power against power. Chip Kelly vs Bill Snyder. Both teams can move the ball, both teams will come to play.

I think Oregon is a great team, but i think KSt has something to prove. Klein feels he got snubbed on the Heisman, and will come to play. I'm taking the ML

Why would Oregon play any less than Kst here? kst was ranked higher and were guaranteed a NCG spot just like Oregon was.

Both are going to play gangbusters, wish this was for the title. Fuckk Baylor/Stanford

this is a blatant case of Kelly's Grudenitis (never squashing a job rumor that can enhance one's market value). he might be a good coach in the NFL, and his offense might work in the NFL, but man, on Lake Erie does not seem like the place for it. put him in a dome or somewhere the weather is always nice and you might have something.

The Baylor team that beat KState looked unstoppable that day. The speed of the Bears really caught K State flat-footed. Oregon plays a similar style of football, with lots of speed. This Should be a fun game to watch Something like 38-28 Ducks in that general vicinity

Agree, and to boot, there are rumors coach is going to NFL... sometimes the kids KNOW even though it is not public, and they fall apart, then a day or two later it is announced. Not sure, of course, but needs to be considered. K State coach is not going anywhere, the players will go all out.

hasn't Chip Kelly's name been mentioned in connection with NFL jobs in the run-up to bowl game the last couple of years? guy flirts with a lot of jobs (nothing wrong with that; greater market value = greater negotiating leverage). don't think that this should be much of a distraction. i like K State to keep it close based upon K State's merits, nothing to do with emotion/motivation/coaching rumors. i think that coaching rumors get a lot more discussion on message boards than in locker rooms.

i hear a lot of silly talk from folks about motivations and what not

fact is you cant handicap it so why bother trying, you're just wasting your time

eleven men line up across from each other, with the other team their only obstacle from glory

what you can handicap is the strengths and weaknesses of each unit and use it to your advantage

C'mon man...if you really want to know how this works listen to the athletes not the media. Think like an athlete not a reporter. D-1 college athletes do not get 'devastated'... very often. (I know because I was one). I'm sure the Nevada football team is/was devastated; that was a once-in-a-lifetime loss. Even then, only because the season is over and there is no 'next week' to refocus on. "Devastation" only lasts until the next practice. These guys are playing on a night where the whole country is watching them (scouts included). The younger guys are vying for depth chart solidification for next year and for many it will be the last game they will ever play. Also....you cannot 'go through the motions' on a football field it's dangerous, if not impossible.

manhattan kansas community really depends on this team for some moral after the lewis and benson scandal

on the flip side eugene is more of a party town and with no bcs title in the mix game is not as important to them

ill take the blue collar team with a bit more desire in this one +8.5

Best question you should ask is do you think K-state has a 50% chance to beat Oregon????

If the answer is yes, then you should know what to place your bet on.
