    Did you miss it?

The greatest individual performance in sports? Teddy Bridgewater leads his team back from a 14-3 deficit with a broke wrist and sprained ankle to clinch a BCS bowl bid? What a performance

Well I didn't watch the game but cashed my Louisville bet if he played with all those injuries good for him they have played well this season and at least you know they won't be publicly backed in future games judging by people's opinion of them here

They were probably better off losing and having a shot in their bowl game. Have fun with Florida State.

How the big east is still allowed to put an automatic qualifier in the BCS is beyond me.

I love checking SBR and seeing you rip on people.
But Bridgewaters performance tonight was nothing short of incredible. The guy couldn't walk, he fell to the ground trying to bootleg because his ankle gave way. He had to get helped off the turf after every hit. One of the most inspired performances you'll ever see in sports, hands down. Along with Brandon Roy's help in the 4th quarter comeback vs the Mavs, Favre after his father passed away, and Torre Smith after his bro died (I know I'm missing a ton, these just came to mind).

Simmer down, best individual performance ever? It was Rutgers my man and if Nova wasn't so terrible, you would be singing a different tune.

Ya I looked back at his first two posts, they were a tad over the top.
Would have gotten a lot more support if OP didn't homer it as much.

Bridgewater owes a lot to the defense and the backup QB, who got like 80% of the third downs for them.

C'mon he played well, but as the Wolf says - "Let's not start suckin each other's dicks just yet"

Rutgers had their fair share of chances to win the game that they straight up blew without Louisville doin anything.

Leftwhich... he had his O-line carry him to the line of scrimage for each play (broken leg or ankle) to come back and win in a college game

    tpowell,

Dude is a known homer at sbr so its honestly hard to take anything he says serious.

Nothing wrong with being a fan of the team but damn....

How about Teo this year vs. Michigan?
lost his grandmother and girlfriend days before the game.

still came out with 2 picks and 8 tackles...

this is the story of the hockey goalie i mentioned earlier ... fckn guy almost dies and has 300 stitches during this day .. comes back and plays a week later ... talk about a fckn comeback

During a game on March 22, 1989, between the visiting St. Louis Blues and Malarchuk's Buffalo Sabre, Steve Tuttle of the Blues and Uwe Krupp of the Sabres became entangled while chasing the puck and crashed into Malarchuk's goal. Tuttle's skate caught Malarchuk on the neck, severing his internal carotid artery.
With pools of blood collecting on the ice, Malarchuk left the ice on his own feet with the assistance of his team's athletic trainer, Jim Pizzutelli. Many spectators were physically sickened by the sight.Local television cameras covering the game cut away from the sight of Malarchuk bleeding after noticing what had happened.
Malarchuk, meanwhile, believed he was going to die. "All I wanted to do was get off the ice", said Malarchuk. "My mother was watching the game on TV, and I didn't want her to see me die."Aware that his mother had been watching the game on TV, he had an equipment manager call and tell her he loved her. Then he asked for a priest.
Malarchuk's life was saved by the team's trainer, Jim Pizzutelli, a former Army medic who had served in Vietnam. He reached into Malarchuk's neck and pinched off the bleeding, not letting go until doctors arrived to begin suturing the wound. Still, Malarchuk came within minutes of becoming only the third fatality to result from an on-ice injury in NHL history after Howie Morenz (1937) and Bill Masterson (1968). It was estimated that if the skate had hit 1/8 inch (3 mm) higher on Malarchuk's carotid, he would have been dead within two minutes. It took doctors a total of 300 stitches to close the wound. It was also said that had the incident occurred at the other end of the ice, Malarchuk would have died - the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium had the locker room exits at one end of the ice instead of the location behind the benches, and he was at that end.
Malarchuk's performance declined over the next few years, to the point that he left the NHL.
