Ga southern would beat more than a few 1a teams. You have to know the back story. Uga defense was called out by their own player. Since then they've given up about 7 points a game. Their defense is loaded, just needed to get off suspensions and get a wake up call

edwards only has kst falling to 5th on espn. if i was a voter id definitely punish them for only scoring 24 on a hs defense. hell they got a gift td after the pick at the 1.

i still think its funny that nd fans want bama. they saw how bad oregon looked against a good defense and they woulda had 6 weeks to prepare for them. k st is pretty much a one dimensional offense that ran over soft big 12 defenses all year, another team they could have beaten. would need a perfect game against bama.

don't think LSU played on a penetrating field with 2+ inches of water on it like Louisville did in that game, just sayin

do you not see how lost SEC defenses look against offenses that aren't "3 yards and a cloud of dust"? They can't stop jack shit. A&M embarassed Alabama for a reason. They gave Florida and LSU their games by turning it over like crazy after long drives

    powell give it up.

the big east is minor league. everyone knows that except you.

look how bad west virginia is after they left it.

no way k st deserves to be number 2 after they got blown out by a 5-5 team.

Bama would be a 2 loss team if les miles wasn't an idiot. I think Oregon is still in it. They will still play 2 more ranked teams.

what kinda offense is kansas st? they get down, they r toast. couldnt even come back against baylor.

i dont think losing a game in the last minute is embarassing especially when you were down 20.

if it was a full blown playoff, a n m would have a great chance to take it.

kinda like notre dame would be a 1 loss team if paul shit (pitt coach) knew a field goal was easier from the middle of the field then the right hash. nd shouldnt wana play the what if game.

They had no clue how to stop A&M. The only reason Alabama drew that close is because A&M took their foot the gas pedal. Best team in the country my ass

obviously they would sammy, i was making the point that the sec teams arent used to that type of offense. with 1 week after very emotional game it was a tough spot.

as i said earlier Bama was still in Baton Rouge during the 1st Qt with A&M - not an excuse , because you have to play 4 qts but is just a fact - happens with sports teams

not playing the what if game, no one has a better case for being 2nd then alabama after tonight, and its not really that close.

i actually think fsu deserves to be ahead of the 2 loss sec teams though, especially if they handle business saturday. a one point road loss a million years ago and all wins since mostly lopsided in granted a weaker league. they do have the nice win against clemson as well.

Bama gave up 20 early but none after they settled in. one week removed from a tough win in Death Valley at night and inured is hard to prep for in practice for that A&M offense.

EVERY year we have this same 'debate' about an offense like Oregon, or OK State or USC or West Virginia and each time its been voided when played on the field.

DEFENSE wins championships in college...just the way it is. Sure a Baylor/West Virginia game where both teams throw for 700 yards and score 90 points a piece and it all comes down to who has the ball last with a minute left to score 5 more TDS but that isnt the best teams.

Baylor has the number 2 or 3 offense in the country yet arent even bowl eligible. Last years Houston and OK State team could score 90 points a game but couldnt beat a Southern Miss and Iowa State team.

When it comes down to 1- big game pressure and 2- consistency and balance for the entire year there is one clear type of team and it isnt an Oregon or USC or Kansas State.

SEC has dominated for a long time for a reason. Bama/ND would get epic ratings Bama should win but shit is sketchy refs will be all for ND
