K-State should and WILL jump Oregon in the BCS.

    1. Bama
    2. Florida (very close #2)
    3. KSU
    4. Oregon
    5. LSU (ND loses next week)

Oregon has played absolutely no one. Their SOS is fukkin pathetic and their defense is soft.

KSU with 3 huge road wins at OU, at WVU, at Iowa State, and also humiliated Miami.

no penetrating way LSU deserves to be #5. They are atrocious, they've lucked into wins the past two weeks and were beaten by an overrated Florida team. Eye test says LSU should be a fringe top 10 team at best

Nah did not look close, well they definitely have played a harder schedule but they have no shot to beat Bama

Well, the #5 BCS slot is totally irrelevant right now since whoever holds that position is doing so by default.

Notre Dame will remain #5 tomorrow.

Then LSU will be #5 next week once Oklahoma beats Notre Dame. LSU has a bye next week.

Then in 2 weeks Oregon State (assuming they don't lose) would take the #5 position by default once Bama beats LSU.

Their offense sucks but their good enough to be a top 10 team based on their defense alone.

Give me 10 teams you would rank ahead of LSU?

No it won't, KSU will comfortably be #3 tomorrow.

Oregon was already #2 in both the AP and Coaches polls before this weekend, yet were only #3 in the BCS. That shows how weak their SOS is and how much the computers and power rankings hate them.

Now that Florida and K-State were each incredibly impressive against top competition, Oregon will now slip at least to #3 and/or #4 in the AP and Coaches polls, which will push them even further down in the BCS.

Oregon will be a distant #4 in the BCS tomorrow.

let's pretend that bcs rankings on oct 20th matter

you do realize that oregon's next four games are against usc, cal, stanford, and oregon st?
and kansas st has ok st, tcu, baylor, texas

so although kansas st has a slightly higher strength of schedule for now, oregon will have the higher sos after next week, right?

Relatively speaking... a .07 point lead in the BCS is rather significant.. I wouldnt call .035 a close 2nd

K-state played one of the worst defenses in the league. Oregon started pulling their starters out 2nd qtr to a decent Arizona St team. Quit acting like KSU would of put up 55pts if they would of pulled out Colin Klein in the 2nd qtr.

The joke of the day! Oregon has a soft defense! You better go and do your due diligence and see how many points the defense of the Mighty Ducks have given up when there starters have played, which is basically the first half of games, before you go and make a ridiculous comment.

no, ksu's SOS will still be much better. they play texas tech next week while oregon plays colorado.

never said a .07 lead wasn't significant, but florida should cut into that by at least half: they played a far superior opponent today than bama did. florida will also move up to #2 in one (or both) of the AP and Coaches polls. remember, oregon was holding the #2 in both of those polls coming into this week. add both of those factors in, and that's at least worth .035 improvement.

I can tell you don't pay attention to West Coast football...except for what you see on espn.. which is bought by the SEC.

Exactly when did WVU and Iowa St become superpowers

Iowa St lost to Oklahoma St who got drilled by Arizona who was shut out by Oregon.

Iowa St was life and death to beat Iowa who are garbage.

WVU has scored and grand total of 28 points while giving up 104 the last two games and 279 in seven games this year, they give up 37.3 a game not counting today's gem.

Yeap the Big 12 is loaded with superpowers alright.

    BANG!

absolutely killed this every which way.

florida indeed cut into bama's lead by approximately one half and are now .031 behind bama. i predicted .035

and YES k-state did jump oregon and they're comfortably in #3 now

oregon and their pathetic SOS and tissue soft defense is a distant #4

Plenty of football left folks. These polls don't mean shit for the next few weeks. It's just a way to get people riled up/upset over shit they can't control. I think ND loses soon, Bama as well to LSU and UF loses to LSU in a rematch game in the SECCG. Oregon and KSU both go undefeated and end up in the MNC game. I'd love to see the SEC in the big game once again because I think the 3 best teams overall are Bama, LSU and UF but they will all lose a game because of the schedule.
