Wasnt Penn St ranked 19th last week when Notre Dame beat them? You could be right, maybe one top 20 team.

Michigan has jumped all over the Irish, and havent looked back. I knew Notre Dame was overrated, but I thought they would beat this Michigan team.

They can still lose two more games and still be handed a BCS Bowl bid.

Any day Notre Dame loses is a good day.

How many more ranked teams will ND see this year?

Instead of ripping on Charlie Weiss, we should be congratulating Llyod Carr for finally winning a big game.

ND just didn't even show up to play this game today, so I don't think you guys should put the total blame on Weiss at all.

Don't forget Mo Lewis. He put the hit on Bledsoe that led to Brady taking over the team. If Bledsoe stays healthy that year, Pats go 5-11 and Belichick and Weiss would have been in trouble.

I think Weiss is still a decent head coach. I don't think Romeo Crenell will succeed with the Browns.

    Hmmm, I must be confused...

Wolverine head coach Lloyd Carr is 7-2 against top five teams and has a 5-2 record on the road against top 10 teams

It doesn't seem as if Lloyd has any difficulties winning big games. Perhaps you are thinking that the only big games Michigan plays are the ones against the Buckeyes?

Weis (not Weiss) is the coach who should be concerned about winning a big game, and it's his responsibility to make sure his players show up. I'm not buying that ND simply wasn't up for the game. That's BS. This is one of the biggest rivalries in football and these two teams have genuine hatred for each other. What in fact happened was that the significantly better team (Michigan) went out and stole the heart from the severely overrated team (Notre Dame). Now ND has to go into East Lansing and don't be surprised if they leave with another black eye and a .500 record overall.

ND QB had to lose lots of money for his NFL contract on this game, scouts also did not like what they saw.

    Weis vs Willingham
Notre Dame coaches thru first 14 games:
    Ty Willingham 11-3
    Charlie Weis 11-3

    Game 15
Willingham lost to Michigan 38-0....starting a skid of just 10 wins in next 22 games
Weis lost to Michigan Saturday 47-21

There are some differences between Willingham and Weis, though...

Weis happens to be white and obese.

Plus Willingham never had to deal with off-the-field issues such as this:

Charlie Weis has filed a malpractice suit against five Massachusetts General surgeons who performed a gastric bypass operation that went awry in 2002.

Weis was in a coma for two weeks and received last rites from a priest after he suffered excessive bleeding, septic shock, adult respiratory distress syndrome and ongoing leg problems as a result of care at MGH that his lawsuit charges "fell below the accepted standards."

Weis weighed over 300 pounds and has tried Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, the Atkins Diet, the Cabbage Soup diet and many other weight-loss programs when he finally opted for the stomach-stapling surgery as a "last resort", although his wife is on record as saying his decision was made on the spur of the moment.

Weis said his father died at age 56 after a second heart attack and he feared he would suffer a similar fate if he didn't take drastic action to reduce his weight.

The surgeons' attorneys said the fact that Weis has kept his weight off and helped lead the Patriots to two Super Bowl wins might be taken as evidence the surgery was effective.

I just think it was tough for ND to get up three weeks in a row...not to mention that Michigan exposed them defensively...
