I bought Illinois -3 and Auburn -2.5, not sure if I am going to play them or try to catch a middle though. I feel more strongly about the Illini. Will look to see if Miami or Oklahoma are a worth a shot on the ML as the week progresses.

What'd you buy or what are you looking at?

    owned,

still licking my wounds from yesterday...somehow I finished in the black with the BTP money...

Illinois is pretty good at home, Ron Zook just sucks the fat one...I've already heard a lot of cappers on that game though and you may get that thing to run up to five or so for a middle...

Auburn vs. LSU is a toss-up to me...

    initial leans for me are:

    BYU
    Cincy
    Marshall
    Akron
    Ball St.
    C. Florida
    Pitt
    Fresno St.
    Oregon
    SDSU
    Michigan
    Texas Tech
    Baylor
    La Monroe
    Nevada
    Navy...

narrowing them down will be the task now as I'll only play seven of these...

Oh yeah, forgot, I like Fresno State as well initially, but I'm hoping we can get that down a little. Yeah, that Illinois/Syracuse game is a battle of the scrubs, but Syracuse is just ATROCIOUS on the road, plus they're coming off the "impressive" performance against Iowa, while Illinois got spanked and shutout, felt it was a good move to buy it at -3, can't see the line moving against me.

agreed owned, hate say it but Illinois definitely has some value...just think that Robinson's such a better coach than Zook (he was clueless yesterday vs. Rutgers)...thinking baylor may be a play for me as well...

am leaning strongly to Texas Tech as well...even though they didn't cover yesterday, I was very impressed with QB Harrell and their team...

Toledo -5 (Kansas showed me nothing last week)
Illinois -3 (Syracuse is that bad, especially on the road)
UConn -6 (Wake struggled to beat Syracuse & Duke at home?)
C Florida -2.5 (S Florida barely beat Florida Int at home???)
Fresno St -3 (Haven't been impressed with Washington so far)
Texas -30 (This will get ugly quickly)
Nevada -3 (There is no place like home + CSU not that good)
Stanford -3 (Navy barely beat E Carolina and UMass at home)

These are the initial leans, what do you guys think?

How high do you think the Nebraska USC line will go? i believe it started at 17 and is up to 18.5 already. I like Nebraska in this one, I would just like to get as many points as possible.
I also like Fresno St. -3.5
    Auburn -2.5
    Oregon -4.5

Strictly from a historic point of view (last 10 years approx.), I've always thought of ND as an awful home favorite. That has probably changed now since Weiss has taken over. I am certainly no Lloyd Carr fan but this screams "stay away, stay far away" to me.

I'm waiting on that Iowa State/Iowa line to be posted. I'm thinking Iowa St. might be the right side of this one.

i'm confused a little bit here??? Illinois-3 vs Syracuse is value.
there is VALUE in taking a team that didn't cross midfield for an entire game. Illinois had to have just about the worst game a team can possibly have. I am on the other side of this game took the orange + the points.

other games i like so far are W.Michigan +9 at Virginia...
Western Michigan defense played well vs. Toledo forcing 4turnovers and holding Toledo to just 88 yards rushign on the day...while their offense was nothing great neither was virginias... against wyoming va had just 32 yards on 22 carries. What are you kidding? Wali Lundy oh where art thou now?... also virginia had a quite pathetic opener on offense vs pitt when they rushed for only 52 yards. I am not saying that western michigan are world beaters but i think 9 points is too much here in a game that could end up 10-7

Jaffers....I live 10 miles from Syracuse and I have to tell you I am suprised they are not getting more points....even agaist someone like Illinois. The last 2 years around here have been horrible and it's hard to see them winning or even covering at Illinois...good luck to you on your bet but if I play the game I will have to go with Illinois....if they were in Syracuse I would lean towards Syracuse, just because Syracuse seems to be able to cover the spread a majorioty of the time....on the road, they just suck. Also, Illinois is a7-3 ATS at home.

I don't like to play games that have huge lines like the temple game... to many things comes down to the last quarter that aren't really easy to handicap... any line with 3 TDs or more I usually don't give too much of a look at...

I jumped on Florida St. -4 ealier this week... Not sure I'm going to keep that position but my lean is towards Florida St...

Unfortunately Temple is that BAD and factor in a pissed of Minnesota team after getting thrashed by Cal and I wouldn't be suprised to see a 60 spot put on the board by Minnesota.
