I mentioned earlier that I believe Missouri will be better team this year then last year when Brad Smith was the starting QB.
We talked about Chase Daniel and his record setting performance with five touchdown passes and his 23 – of - 32 for 320 yards. But what we did not talk about was the match up between the Mississippi offense and the Missouri defense. Missouri is returning their entire front line on defense and should be able to stop anything resembling a running game from Mississippi. That leaves Mississippi is a passing situation and their passing attach is just not ready. Mississippi beat Memphis at home 28 – 25 last weekend. Ole Miss passing attack went 7 for 16 and 99 yards. Only 2 receivers caught a pass and one of them caught 6 of the 7 passes. Their longest pass play was 22 yards. A one dimensional attack will not get it done today. Take Missouri minus the points.
By the way this is how you get a 207.17 passer rating.
2679.4 (8.4 x yards) + 1650 (330 X TD’s) – 0 (int. x 200) + 2300 (100 x comp) / 32 (att.)= 207.17. Chase Daniel threw for 319 yards, 5 tds, 0 int, 23 comp in 32 attempts. Check my math.
