now, i know what you're thinking... WVU RB Steve Slaton, a heisman trophy candidate? true, slaton is only a sophomore, but as a true freshman last year he averaged 113 yards per outing and set a Big East record with sixth touchdowns in the louisville game. he was also named the sugar bowl MVP after running for more than 200 yards against georgia in WVU's 38-35 win. slaton may be young, but he may also be the best running back in college football in 2006. i personally think it's a long shot, but he does benifit from a cupcake schedule.
