Rutgers is not the better team.

    Big 12 > Big East

Iowa State in a low scoring ugly game.

I know both of these programs well. Iowa State is the better team overall.

With that being said, ISU's kicking game is suspect to say the least and Rutgers forces a lot of turnovers, which can be the ultimate difference-maker in bowl games.

The Big 12 is better but Iowa State is like the 8th best team in the conference.

There is no real advantage other than
its practically a home game for Rutgers.

This is a very small play btw. More of an action play than anything.

    Rutgers doing work.

I'm thinking about taking Iowa State 2nd half and seeing if I can middle this thing.

    Nice call BigD.

Jantz can't hit the broad side of a barn. Not sure what's happened to this guy, but he's atrocious.

    TY.

This game was so obvious. All you had to do was look at what people were saying on this board. I'm a Big 12 guy and wanted more than anything for the conference to undefeated in bowl games but lets get real, Iowa State is lucky to even be in a bowl game. Their win over OSU was a fluke. Those things happen in sports.

After I started reading things from people on this board about how Iowa State was going to roll because they beat Uconn and Rutgers lost to Uconn, I laughed. That was the best angle for people loading up on a 6-6 team that finished 8th in their conference. Then people started referencing stats. LOL. Sports is about matches, not stats. You can't use the transitive property.

It was going to be very difficult for Iowa State to go into the Bronx and beat Rutgers in what was almost a home game for them. I couldn't believe all of the love for a 6-6 team.
