    Boise State

Why do people still seem to think off this team as a gimmick finesse offensive minded team???? I swear some people still seem to think Boise is one of those finesse Hawaii teams that got smashed by 31 points in that BCS bowl game

Boise is actually a great and very physical defensive team with an excellent offensive line and one of the best QBs in the country. For example, take a look at Boise's defensive line

    Billy Wynn - 6-4 295
    Mike Atkinson - 6-1 320
    Tyrone Crawford - 6-4 276
    Shea Mcclelin - 6-3 258

that's an average size of 307 LBs at the defensive tackle position - hell that's bigger than the Chicago bears 2 starting tackles. Their defensive ends also have good size and very good athleticism. To me, Boise's defense is only secondary to LSU and Alabama - I think they have the 3rd best defense in the country

I just wish people would stop dismissing this team because they haven't played a lot of tough opponents - Watch this team on tape and tell me they don't play with the same discipline and intensity as any of the teams in the top 10.

If Boise was such a physical defense then why are they giving up 4 yards a carry vs the run? Boise lookin weird this year.

they struggled against Air Force because they haven't faced a triple option system like that in about a decade or so

take away that game and their rush defense stats are awesome

last year Boise had a top 3 defense in all of college foots IMO, they're not as good defensively this year but still a good D.

Their defense looks every bit as good to me as last years team

The reason they haven't been winning as impressively as years past is the offense is not quite as explosive

that's UNLV, they sleepwalked thru that game defensively

look at their games when they have actually tried - completely dominated a very good nevada offense, completely dominated a very good tulsa offense, won decisively on the road against Georgia

are you freaking kidding me ???
    UNLV
    17 first Downs 319 yards

    Air force
    23 first downs 408 yards
that's the last 2 games - knowing they needed to show something !!!!
you should try keeping your opinion to your self for a change -

Air force runs a gimmicky triple option that's hard to stop even with superior athletes. Boise hasn't faced that type of offense in a decade or so - I wouldn't worry too much there considering none of the top 10 teams run a triple option

UNLV was just a throwaway game - they sleepwalked thru much of the game and still won by about 30 or so

I think Boise will get the sugar bowl if they stay undefeated , Boise/Bama would be a great game

that's an average size of 307 LBs

I knew the math on this wasnt even close man
its closer to 287 average - Nebraska line is bigger than almost every pro line -not saying much apparently ...

it's an average of 307 lbs at the DT tackle position bro - reread what I said

and Boise's secondary is excellent - Nebraska's defense mainly sucks cause they can't cover

If they want a shot at a title they need to play some top 10 teams and not bottom 50.

It's a combination of bad luck and the major teams not wanting to play them

I say bad luck because they moved to the MWC in order to get a chance to play another perennial top 5 top 10 midmajor program in TCU, but they end up moving to the MWC the season that Andy Dalton and all his great TCU seniors graduate and TCU is in a rebuilding mode

The other problem is no major conference teams really want any part of Boise - the fact is that they have nothing to gain by playing Boise and everything to lose (Teams like Bama can schedule a bunch of cupcakes in the out of conference schedule and still make it to the BCS title game if they win out - what do you gain if you're bama risking your season by playing a game against Boise early in the year??). These major BCS teams have also watched Boise go 6-1 against Oregon, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, TCU and Georgia last 4 seasons. Don't kid yourself - they want no part of the Broncos

Watch Boise on tape and try to tell me they don't play with the same ferocity and discipline as any team in the country. This is a team that absolutely manhandled Georgia's offensive line earlier in the season getting 5 or 6 sacks against them
