joe tiller's 8 year bowl streak ended last year. the boilermakers football program appeared to hit the wall, and Tiller has hired 4 new assistant coaches to to help purdue get back bowling once again this year.
the boilermakers are going to have an up hill battle again this year. there recruiting class wasn't all that great, and there returning starters aren't really worth mentioning IMO

my projection for purdue this year is they will go 5-8, and will not be going bowling once again this year.
I don't have a clue as to what to expect from Purdue. One could say they lost what talent they had on defense or one could say they got rid of the 3 guys that flat out quit on the team a year a go. If Painter (QB) is a capable thrower I do think they'll put up a lot of points this year with a solid set of skill players and one of the better O-Lines in the Big Ten...the problem is the defense will probably give up more against decent teams.
My only angle is to play them over the number early and often. Honestly I think its a complete crapshoot with them this year with all the turnover. Anywhere from 5-8 to 9-4 is possible IMHO.
