    2006 Michigan Football Breakdown

    Lloyd carr has another very talented team returning to ann-arber again this year. the wolveriens have 15 returning starters comming back for this up and comming season. included in those returning starters are QB Chad Henne, RB Mike Hart and WR/KR Steve Breaston.

    heres there 2006-07 season schedule:

    September 2 Vanderbilt
    September 9 Central Michigan
    September 16 at Notre Dame
    September 23 Wisconsin
    September 30 at Minnesota
    October 7 Michigan State
    October 14 at Penn State
    October 21 Iowa
    October 28 Northwestern (HC)
    November 4 Ball State
    November 11 at Indiana
    November 18 at Ohio State
    after looking really indepth at Michigan's streanths and weaknesses, along with there history of playing up and down to there opponites. I feel this highly talented team will go 9-3 this year.

    9-3 sounds about right. 6 games they definitely win, 6 could go either way.

    if they would have just fired lloyd carr last year, they might have had a great shot at going either 10-2 or 11-1 IMO

    So forget Henne and Hart for a second - its defense that wins championships. So how good are the Wolverines on D? According to this story, pretty darn good.

    "There is plenty of talent on the Michigan defense, as several players have been named to the watch list for numerous individual end of season awards," the article claims. "Among them, senior DE LaMarr Woodley and senior CB Leon Hall anchor what Carr hopes will be a formidable defense that looks to improve upon the mere 20.3 ppg it allowed last season, which ranked as the 24th lowest yield in the country."
