College Football play: Tennessee Vols +30 at Alabama

2009. 3-3 Vols come into Tuscaloosa to play the 7-0 Crimson Tide.

Tide wins 12-10 on a blocked field goal.

2011. 3-3 Vols come into Tuscaloosa to play the 7-0 Crimson Tide.

This one will not be that close. But it will be well within the 30.

    35-17 is my prediction here.

So you think a team that is starting their second string QB, and playing without their best WR, and 0-3 in the SEC is just going to waltz into Bryant-Denny and hang 17 points on the #1 scoring defense in the nation? Tennessee has scored 19 points total in their last two games, which were both at home. Alabama has allowed 7 points in the last 10 quarters of play. Are you high or something? Come on man, be real.

i think if the final score was 35-17 like u predict the Tennessee players would take that now and skip the game.

I agree. Plus Tenn would not get other players and a few more qbs hurt. Could possibly win another game if they didn't have to to run into this weekends buzzsaw. Florida hasn't been close to winning since encountering the Bama buzzsaw.

Yep... I do. To score 17 points is really not that hard. One good drive, one lucky catch, and there is enough for your 17.

Sounds easy enough. But, that's three more points than any team has scored against Bama, and the team that scored 14 against them (Arkansas) has scored no fewer than 35 against the rest of their opponents. That being said, Tennessee couldn't have caught Bama at a better time. The game before LSU and a bye week next week presents the possibility that Alabama could be flat. Look for the score to be something like 34-10.

the funny thing about bama is when they put in their scrubs on defense...they're still phenomenal and do everything they can to keep the other team out of the endzone. crazy to watch. with that said...still thinking about taking tennessee.

Alabama has been a covering machine so far, as they've been my best bet winner for the last couple of weeks. I'm going with them again at -28.5 in the contest. I could care less what Ten did in 2007.

Seriously? He just said, they have scored a TOTAL of 19 points in their last two games, and they are playing at Alabama against probably the best Defense in College Football.

If you think them scoring 17 isn't going to be hard then stop betting please because you don't know what you are talking about.

What happened in 2010 and why you not post it?

Oh yeah it was 41-10 and they played in knoxville.

Tough call here, I am staying away, but Roll Tide.

The game will probably look similar to last week's game against LSU (38-7). I wouldn't look for Saban to run it up on Dooley but UT can't score. Line looks sharp to me unlike LSU's -15 line last week.

Sharp line in my opinion. Tenn can cover but my guess would be something like 31-7. Onlhy way Tenn gets to 17 is some fluke happens and I try to stay away from taking flukes.

Why are you using a game from 2009 to determine the outcome of this contest?

It means nothing. Most of the players aren't even on these teams, especially the game changing Skill Players.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong with the pick...but at least use information that isn't BULLSHIT

Crazy to fade Tide. Even though the game wasn't close, Bama backers raised their beverages when Saban sent in his Defensive starters late in the game last week to thwart a possible Miss score that meant nothing except on the stat sheet. You know damn well that Def . coach and starters loved it. Lsu and Alabama neck to neck in the polls. LSU set the bar with 31 pt victory last week. Saban a stunning 70% against the spread since taking the reins in 08. Gamblers love him, Vegas hates him. Lay it if you play it.

Not sure why anyone is fading me with my run lately, but good luck guys.

Injuries, injuries, injuries, but hey, this is a big Rivalry game, and you never can tell in rivalry games.

With a spread like 30, UT really just has to play one pretty decent quarter to cover it.

But BOL to all of you.

Just remember, we are betting on 18 year old kids, and most of them are pretty stupid. It is very likely that 90% of Alabama's roster is looking towards the LSU game, despite Saban's talks.

LSU game is still 2 more weeks away. Alabama knows they can't lose to Ten before playing LSU, so it's doubtful they're "looking ahead."

Right or wrong, I doubt anybody in here is following you. Who are you that anyone should follow?

Line movement says it all...the books couldn't put this line high enough...Tennessee will be very lucky to get 2 field goals in the game...42-6 would be a best case scenario....but worst case...51-0 is quite possible...

They must have forgotten to factor in the 2009 game when they made the line.
