anyone think Arizona State beats Oregon OUT RIGHT

I really like the points here - I am thinking about laying a few dollars on the money line also.

No, not a chance. the devils turn into bed shitters anytime they step onto the field with Oregon, esp in Autzen. Oregon's edge speed destroys the asu defense... this one could get ugly.... I dont see a offensive threat outside of Miles for the devils. Brock O will need to extend some plays when Allioti blitz's his pants off... The pace on both sides will suffocate ASU...

Kenjon Barner and Tra Carsons will step up huge in LMJ absence... I am all over Oregon.

You can't argue the competition Osweiler has faced thus far. The Sun Devils have had a tough schedule so far this season, facing Missouri, Illinois, USC, Oregon State and Utah.
Osweiler has 13 touchdown passes on the season, while completing 66.7 percent of his passes. He also has ran two touchdowns in, and that is no surprise as Osweiler has been effective on the ground as well.
Against Utah, Osweiler ran for 34 yards on seven carries. Oh, he also threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns as well.
Marshall will need to have another big game against Oregon, as the Sun Devils have learned they cannot fully rely on their passing game, even if it is effective.
Expect to see Marshall used a lot, as he has proved to be an effective change of pace for the Sun Devils.
The Arizona State Sun Devils defense has been nothing short of spectacular. Through six games, they have forced 18 turnovers. 14 of those turnovers have been in their three last games. The defense has been incredibly effective, and don't expect them to play at a lower level against Oregon.
The Sun Devils, who were neck and neck with Oregon a year ago, remember losing what could have been a huge upset a year ago.
The major roadblock is the Ducks' 50-plus points per game on the season, but they haven't faced a defense like the Sun Devils. Well, check that. The Ducks did look more normal against the LSU Tigers, where they only scored 27 points.
The Sun Devils should take that game as inspiration that this Oregon team can be stopped.

very good chance... just got off the phone with a friend who asked me if Oregon -14.5 was a lock.. I laughed and told him "I think there is a good chance they will lose straight up" I think your analysis is spot on... I don't think its a "LOCK" by any means, but I think ASU stays within striking distance the whole game and its a coin-flip as to who will come out on top.

The closer we get to kick off, the more confident I become in ASU. -14 is a lot of points to lay on a PAC12 v PAC12 showdown such as this. Other than Stanford possibly beating Oregon (which I think is VERY possible), this is a preview of the PAC12 championship. ASU has been playing extremely well and they should have everyone that helped them handle Utah. On the other hand, LMJ is out. I know, I know, Oregon still has more offensive threats than LMJ, but do they have enough threats to beat a HOT, REVENGE-SEEKING, CONFIDENT Sun Devil squad? I really don't think so. I see value in tossing some units on the ML, but I am very confident in this being a last possession game, and if Oregon has the ball under 2 min, in Autzen, not a team outside of the SEC could stop them.

Lastly, I know everyone has their "insiders info," and 90% of the time I call BS on other people, but don't forget that I am an ASU student. I not only feel the buzz for this game, I have talked to a few guys in class, and they are ready.

I am just stating from a psychological standpoint, ASU in nature does not, can not win the big games...

question how much value do you put in Illinois bc I think they are a 30-35 team in the nation, and they beat ASU in a close one...

Here is my issue with you pumping up ASU defense...

The mizzou game was a shoot out, the Illinois game they looked great, the SC game they were bend bend bend bend and never broke, SC moved the ball with speed at will, if Mark Tyler is gashing you then Kenjon and Deanthony with chainsaw your leg off... Utah they didnt play Jordan Wynn. I think they are a good front 7 with the best defensive player in the country in the middle, but getting to the edges will prove tough for this ASU team. Oregon gameplans for this... I just cannot put any value in ASU at this point. Oregon has done nothing either but we know they are fast... we know they are well coached... and it is at autzen

I agree with most of your points. You fail to mention if you think ASU can keep it close and cover though. I do value your opinion and am curious as to what you think...

I went to ASU my frosh yr, Manzy hall baby! Now I go to Ohio State, lived with a player last yr and am in a ton of classes with the players, close to a few of the (tat 5-1=4)... I had that feeling too last week, feeling felt good for about 3 quarters. If those guys arent confident and pumped then I dont know what to tell you, it is supposed to be like that..

BTW my frosh yr was 07, thatd be the #4 devils and Rudy Carp rolling into autzen and getting ******* steamrolled... you think the campus was pumped now, Imagine ASU being undefeated and getting soooo much hype from the media, that feeling happens everywhere... don't bet with you heart, or your dick... As a 1 year dude at ASU I would be estatic if they pulled it out... but I respect oregon and everything they stand for...

everything you said makes me like The Sun Devils even more but in my shallowest of shallow analysis... How are the Ducks laying 14.5 without LaMichael... it's like they are begging you to take ASU so i'll probably lay off it... but speaking of injuries.. i love LSU laying 17.5 against a BRAY-less Vols squad... Thoughts?

Oh and in the meantime here are is Week 6 NFL GENO's PICKS (5 High Def picks.... 17 Low brow jokes)

Racks- No ASU wont keep it close, I think Oregon goes into half up a score, and then comes out and flys all over... I think ASU best shot is to get the ball to Miles he is their only big play threat, Allioti knows this and even though Miles has not been ultra productive he shows flashes.... Plfgrad coming home man is that going to be a rough one for him...

I think again Oregon using Thomas, Barner, Carson, Huff, and Paulson (match up hell for ASU LB's) to get some big plays... I think a guy like Tra Carsons gives the ducks the tough yards this week. Darron Thomas needs to value the football, unlike Barkley in the 4th in Tempe...

I WENT to that game in Autzen. Trust me, I remember it clearly. But I also don't remember it being a "steamrolling" and if I recall correctly the final score was 23-35. If that "steamrolling" happens again, which I don't think will happen, then everyone covers

Game was 35-16 then Dennis Dixon got hurt and ASU tagged on a late TD... maybe not a steamrolling... ya know what yes when you arent in the game at all when you are ranked 2-3 whatever they were that is a steamrolling....

NOTE LSU still covers that game by 15 points, line was LSU +3 and ML +140... I killed it opening weekend.. ALso No Lamichael James HURTS the ducks..

Really like ASU here, with no James ASU has a fighting chance to win outright.. The Line will drop to +13.5 before kickoff so get it at 14.5 now..

Ariz. St. is the smarter pick. There's no telling how Oregon will play without James, plus ASU is pretty good in there own right. It took until the 2nd half for Oregon to pull away from a horrid Cal team, so 14 points seems very generous
