    FIU -17 vs Akron

Anyone see some value in this? I mean FIU started out the season like a well oiled machine and Akron has not stopped anyone besides VMI and I dont even count that. Fading Akron has been easy money all year long, anybody have a reason why it stops now?

i'm a little curious as to why the line has dropped 3 points from 20 on this one. that's usually a bad sign in heavy road favorites (see hawaii earlier this year at unlv, lost 40-20 with similar movement). i don't think it's an indication that akron stands a chance in the game straight up, but i would be cautious in laying 17 with fiu.

I just looked into this, and I have to go with FIU. I mean I tease most of my games cause of rigging but they should cover at least 13. The zips suck.

It's a no play for me, but I can give you a little info on the possibilities here. FIU's absolute star TY Hilton has been playing hurt for 2 weeks, he has a nagging hamstring injury and is slowed down significantly (he's a pretty solid burner normally). The other receivers are about average sun-belt variety. FIU is coming off of two losses they were favored to win. FIU averages 28 points a game and has not held anyone scoreless in...I'm not sure when, but not this season.

I don't know anything about Akron though, so if they are truly that bad may still be some value.

that's decent input, i did not know that. that may have something to do with the drop in line. fiu's run defense should be too much for akron, and fiu outgained duke by a shitload and pretty much matched ull in that loss, so i think we will see a correction in their w column and a double digit win...i might make a small play on -17, but i don't like playing against that kind of movement.

I did do a write up on the FIU @ ULL game a couple weeks back. Most of the info is outdated at this point, but if you can garner anything from it I've provided a link. I realize its old information on an old game that only has a little to do with the topic at hand, but it's worth my time posting if it can help anyone.

Edit: And I realize I named the wrong bowl game in the post, was a bit nervous about posting for my first time on the forums and mangled it.
