    Final Florida/Alabama line?

Trying to decide if I should bet now or wait until right before the game. What do you all think the line will move towards as the bets come in?

I have it @-9 and the hook, if you like the Gators jump on it now,I beleive theres going to b some serious movement by sat

Bama is screwed, they run the ball and have an average QB @ best, they wont b able to keep up w/ Mr Tebow, that offens is clicking and is pretty much unstoppable right now, just to many options and to much speed!!!

Just bewilders me. They are #1 and yes they have been lucky a few times but the teams behind them with a lose weren't unlucky. -10 is insulting to those kids. Not only am I betting just that, I am betting Nick Saban. Take those points people. HURRAY.

I am playing two 10pt teaser with Bama +19.5 to win 1500.00 (2 different 10pt teasers) and will place 500.00 on the ML as soon as it comes availible at my sportsbook and 500.00 on Bama+9.5. just puttin my money where my mouth is folks.

I most likely won't touch this game....big games are sharp, and that is a lot of pts to give/get.

I'm a current Florida Gator, and call me biased, but I've had the privilege of watching every game this season, a few times in person.

Florida's good. They're real good. Their special teams alone has gotten them 2-3 touchdowns in every game through forced turnovers and blocked punts. Anyone see the Kentucky game? 28 points in the first quarter, 14 from CONSECUTIVE blocked punts. It was just Kentucky, but Florida's front line proved they can run the show. I think they'll be able to compete with Alabama's.

Speed has always triumphed over power, and that's why I think Florida has the edge. They have so many playmakers, it's ridiculous. Their BACKUP RB, Moody, averages almost 8 yards a carry. There is so much talent, and that is what confuses their opponents. Last week, when Florida State was double-covering Harvin, Tebow started throwing to Nelson for big plays. No one even knows who Nelson is! He must be a 3rd or 4th stringer.

Florida has traditionally taken huge leads in games, then taking their starters out. The backups then go on to dominate against the other teams starters. In this game, there is no doubt Florida's starters will be in the whole time.

My only flaw is I know little about Alabama. I do know that they limped into this SEC Championship game. Their first half of the season was much more impressive than their second.

It's not that I don't think Alabama is a great team. I just think Florida right now is unstoppable. They make scoring touchdowns look so effortless.

    All in on Florida -9.5

I accept the fact Florida is "real" good.. But i just want to establish something

    1. Alabama is playing better football now than beginning of season. Reason i saythis is because they are now FINISHING games unlike the beginning of the season where they would kill you the first half and then fall off. They are now playing a more consistant game.

    2. Alabama = Speed & Power. The Alabama special teams is also extremely good, having scored over 10 special teams TD's this year themselves.

    3. Alabama's front 3 DLinemen are EXTREMELY good. If you think Tebow is going to run all over them, think again.

It will be a good game. Florida hasnt seen a team like Alabama all year, just as Alabama hasn't seen a team like Florida... This is a Nick Saban coached team that has answered every call this year so far.. I would be careful on this game...

I love paragraph 5. ALABAMA is #1 and they limped into the SEC champ game.

I guess this is just me. I will retreat and start licking my wounds bc the line is dropping.. ...-10.5 to -9.5 (I bet we haven't seen that before)

Whats funny is people get so hyped about what they see on TV... And don't know the gist of the entire situation... You don't think Alabama could have raped some of those teams they played?

A Gator arguing with 2 Tides! (I hope I used that in the right context)

I say we just wait to see who Randizzle picks. He's 82-23-1 on the year for NCAAF, including 5-0 last weekend.

Bama fans how many points do you think you will have to score to win this game? Can you really see your team holding FLA under 30 points? Do you really think that you can score over 30 in this game? I really don't see this being close at all. I've watched both teams all year and I don't know if there is a position player on Bama that would start on the gators team. (Maybe Julio would start at WR.)

Talent will prevail. Sorry bama fans.

Florida St., South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee all have great defenses and were all blown out. Statistics here: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...erence=I-A_all

Looking at the STATISTICS strictly.. Florida has the 5th best overall defense in the country and Alabama 3rd best. Florida has the 3rd best overall offense, and Alabama is 29th (97th in passing and 19th in rushing). Florida is first in the SEC for rushing, and Alabama is second. The only way Alabama stays in this game is if they score a lot of points, which I don't see. The other way is if their defense holds Florida to 30 points, like King said. I don't see it, do you?

If Florida stops the run, they win big. If they don't stop the run, they still may win big.

    box scores for stats

in some cases florida , gets started slow , they play for field position , just as alabama does ..
looking at the box scores teams just give up .
alabama matches well against these guys .
ole miss is the best team both alabama and florida has played almost by far ...........
look for alabama open it up this weekend , they are not going to be able to wear down florida nor will they try too..
neither team will be able ot blow either off the line
ten points is a lot here especially the way alabama controls field postion and the clock, alabama pass defense is quicker than they appear ,,,,,
alabama needs to score quickly and and again to have a chance to win but you get ten points here I would take the points ...

From the outside looking in, no biased whatsoever.. I like Florida in this one big. However, I hope Bama wins because I think my Sooners have a much better shot at beating them in the Nat'l Championship game. The Sooners would man-handle Bama, but they struggle against QBs that can run (Tebow).

    Buy the line at 9.5

Watch the money will go to FLA.

I like this thread because it's not one sided. So glad for that. This game I suspect will jump 3 maybe 4 by game time against Florida.

9.5 FLA Huge at 10 as well a great bet.

Did you really watch last game?

If you did, you would have seen the bad field conditions and bad throwing conditions for big T and the boys. Did that phase him? I think not.

Big T and the boys by 21 and maybe throw some of the second string in towards the end.

I think Oklahoma loses the title game outright solely based on the fact that they havent seen a defense worth a shit all year... SEC will top Big 12 this year in the title... Do they even know what blitz packages are in the Big12?

Ok Florida State has 4 losses, i would hardly say they have a good defense... They play in the ACC... Tennessee blows Bama beat them 29-9 and it could have very easily been much worse.

Alabama just isnt as flashy because they are coached by an EXTREMELY smart man... He doesn't show his entire playbook in a game to run the score up. I think Saban is right where he wnts to be. He wants people to doubt Alabama.. This will be interesting

Oklahoma is #1 in the nation in sacks per game.. get your facts right bud. Of course they know what a blitz package is. The only way Oklahoma loses the NC game is if they play Florida, because Alabama sure as hell isn't going to stop Bradford.

Bradford is good, But I don't think anyone in the Big12 has a good defense... Oklahoma is the best of what you can CALL a defense in the Big12, They still allow an average of what? 30+ a game... Thats not impressive at all

    I like Fla but..........

The only team that gave them trouble is Ole Miss...which has good line play

    Alabama's lines are even better

And with Harvin gimpy....that takes away one quick td by fla

I bet fla on monday in a parlay with houston

Half way home and pulling for the Gators
