    Oversigning Recruits

SEC commissioner Mike Slive said last week that he will propose NCAA "legislation" that would deal with oversigning kids during the recruiting process. The NCAA limit is 25 recruits per year, but numerous schools, including many in the SEC exceed that limit. For example, Arkansas signed 31 recruits this year.

One reason for oversigning is to protect against recruits who don't meet academic requirements. Seems to me an easy way to protect against this happening...just don't sign "student" athletes who have severe academic issues. Some of these kids still belong in high school, not college as far as academics are concerned.

Have you noticed the players either transferring or leaving Arkansas of late...there's a reason for that.
