Anyone familiar with casinos in Tahoe area?

Going snowboarding at Heavenly in 10 days and will be there for a week so wanna try out their casinos....hear they have a few at the resort if anyone has been there? If not, will hit Reno one day of the trip so where's the best place for some cards?

    You guys are useless

JJ Illini Fishhead SOMEBODY has had to venture out there at some point right....can't believe there is an untapped bastion of gambling next to skiing that SBR has not established a flag on yet

If not, I shall plant that SBR flag in honor of the forum....cherry will be POPPED by the Pickle next week!

Yeah the hotel said their are a few on the mountain....just worried they are either too small and only have slots and a few table games....or it's a local spot for all the regulars who play ring games.....if that's the case, Reno here we come!

Once I conquer the double black diamond slopes ( ) ....it's on

HARVEYS stateline has the nicest race and sportsbook-down the street Mount Bleu has a race and sportsbook which is run by the Cal Neva--go down the hwy a quater mile and you will find a locals hangout- Lakeside Inn- the book is located downstairs, gl sir. 3 different outs for you.

Ive been there a couple times. Youre gonna have a fvckin blast if you like to board and gamble like myself...its a great place. The lift tickets there are super expensive at Heavenly but you have to go there if youre going to Tahoe, Its one of the best boarding places in N. America from what ive read.

As far as casinos, there are a few casinos right as you cross state line. I think its Harrahs and also Harveys.. I might be mistaken for Reno though. The casinos there are ok. The few times that i have been has not been as packed as Vegas obviously but not to crowded. Also, if you are going for the night life you might be disappointed because as far as i know there is basically none.

    Y.

    They're fine.

All the games, and pretty 'loose' tables, etc..

heavenly is a massive hill but flat, expensive, crowded and full of traverses. great views of the lake though and you can literally be in the casinos gambling not five minutes after you're done boarding.

lakeside is a small locals casino bout a mile off "the strip" not really worth going to unless you're betting mma. montbleu and harveys are your only poker options. harveys will have way more tables going but more tourists, slower play ect. montbleu will have better players and dealers but less action. cocktail service is legit at both places.

Thanks for the info guys...can't wait to hit it. Harveys will be the first stop. Fly into Reno next Sun morning so will catch the Super Bowl from one of them most likely.

Mightyminnow....flat is okay by me....my knees will thank me after. Haven't been boarding since Sugar Mountain up in N.C. 2 years ago.
