Bovada - Bonus Max Bet restrictions

I never noticed this before buried deep it in terms and conditions. I usually bet well over half my deposited amount, especially if I start by going on a run. I've never cashed there so might be why they haven't stopped me .

Has anyone broken this rule, and not been able to take a payout? Their bonus page is confusing and mixed with casino policies and long. I bet a lot of people wouldn't even notice.

"10. Unless stated otherwise on the specific bonus landing pages, all bonuses have a max bet restriction relative to the deposit amount. Failure to adhere to this ‘max bet’ rule may result in account closure, forfeit of the Bonus and any winnings generated during the wagering of the Bonus.Any wagers using deposited funds or bonus funds prior to bonus completion are subject to the following maximums:

    • Casino max bet per wager - 20% of deposited amount
    • Sports max bet per wager - 50% of deposited amount"

Yeah it's been around for a little while. I would always go immediately all in with my full $1,500 after taking $500(50% cash) bonus with $1,000 deposit. I've definitely broken the rules and received a payout. However, I wouldn't go all in after depositing like I used to anymore. Seems as though they were lenient with it previously and may not be going forward.

Admittedly, they probably put this rule in place because of people like myself.

I think they want players to bet like a recreational player may. I definitely won't be taking any risks now and in the future and will bet how they want me to with the 20/50% rules. It's unfortunate, but if it means we can continue taking the bonuses then it is what it is.

Same here and Yeah I will do the same. Hope I wasn’t being free rolled before but guess I’ll never know. I’m not the most patient gambler maybe this will be good for me.

You have to either A-Take no Bonus or B-Read them VERY carefully-----Until rolled- 50% MAX of what is DEPOSITED

Didn't know about this rule, but I got a withdrawal today after taking a bonus and I bet a little bigger than 50% of my deposit amount a couple of times, but most of my bets were about 50%. They should really have the system set up to not accept bets over the 50% limit if they want to enforce this.

I wonder if it’s only enforced on the casino or if they screw you on the sports wagers too. I learned about the limits from this guy, and he took it hard.

I think Ignition and other sites owned by Bodog implemented the rule first. I saw it on Ignition before I saw it on Bovada.

Never noticed it and been breaking that rule for many years now. They use to send my "over the max amount" for approval which would come back 50/50 in getting accepted. I'll keep on betting as much as they accept and deal with an account closure later.

I’m a lifetime loser there big time so maybe they’re just being lenient with me but my understanding is that the system will automatically only count 50% of the deposit per bet outcome. I’ve noticed this in looking at the bonus tracking progress bar. So if they have anyone a hard time about betting more, I’d argue why does it matter if they built a tracker that calculates the proper amount anyway.

Someone buried this in the casino sub forum even though it is CLEARLY not a casino issue. Nice work, it’ll get resurrected once Bovada screws over someone else. Count on it.

    Geez you are negative lately.

It's just been cross linked to the Casino sub forum. IE: more views, not less.

I played at Bovada, and definitely broke this rule. On many deposits, I'd bet the balance and bonus total on a single bet. When I was later up a lot, they paid me with no problems. I wasn't even aware of the rule.

I've done the exact same thing and had the same outcome. I go all in on my first bet every time. Never had a problem with payouts.
