Best book in Vegas for comps?

I'm not talking drink tickets either. If I wanted to get tanked I would either play VP at the bar or just find an ABC store and buy cheap booze.

I know some books in Vegas are 3rd party operations, too. i.e Cantor Gaming

None really give comps unless you putting down heavy action. Drinks is as far as it goes. Unless you a whale and putting $10,000 or more.

Kind of sad a slot player can put $100 into a machine and get free rooms but you go to the book and wager 3x that and get nothing.

I only stay at the Hilton when we go to Vegas. My uncle has played the ponies there since they opened so every time we go visit him it just makes it easier to stay there, since he's be there any ways. I love the sportsbook and pool. They're also on the monorail but not right in the middle of the strip, by and far my favorite hotel, not just most convenient.

Anyways, we've had some decent comps over the years, best being free rooms and food vouchers. We also got some Barry Manilow tickets. But we also got to know a lot of the managers and GM through my uncle so that certainly could've helped. But you're right, they usually don't comp sportsbook action much. It's all about the slots because they have such a higher yield.

I think they have the best ratio out here. $1 for every $220 bet. Not sure if they changed it or not. I haven't been there in a while.

Back in the days of heavy gambling and drinking days, I asked Ceasers if they would comp me a room if I dropped $5000 on Fla St. over Vtech in the BCS Championship game(Just made 5K on NFL season wins bet). They kindly told me no. Too bad for me as I did not place the bet.

Sportsbetting has no house advantage besides the juice. And slot gambling is a 95% win for the casino.

correct...they (Hilton) are still paying $1 for every $220 as of last 2 weeks...
will find out this morning what Harrahs/Caesars,etc are giving...had 13,000 of tickets last night...that would have been approx $60 at Hilton...don't think it is as good...maybe even half of that...

also Hilton doesn't do the drink coupon bullsh*& that others do....for the most part the girls are walking around and taking orders...
At Caesars, you get drink coupons but still have to pay $5 with the coupon for a premium drink (coupons good for beer and well drinks only).

Harrahs/Caesars will give you very little for $13K of action.....it will be about 800 Tier Credits. I am not sure exactly how many Rewards Credits you will get, but it's at least 800 and sometimes you get a RC multiplier added, which can be double that 800. At minimum, its $8 in comps and at most, $24.

Down at southpoint they have a card that lists their comps for
    horse and sports bettors.
I'll try to swing by and grab one and post.
I dont remember what they were.

I swear Cantor gaming and Hilton are creepy as fukk. I'm sure I've seen many SBR degens there, but I'd rather be ignorant of it.

I swear Cantor gaming is fukking creepy-ass operation. The stories I can tell about Cantor....

Best comps/lines combo has to be Stations, but the comps for sportsbooks are ridiculous. I think it's $1 for every $1000 you bet.
Drinks flow readily at them too.

Best place on the strip... MGM, Cesar's and Bally's have really nice sportsbook, but dunno about lines, no comps, and you've got to deal with tourists.

    You're joking, right?
Ask your bookie how much he made tonight... he may not tell you, but I assure you... those black bags they carry at the end of the night are not empty.

No Vegas expert, but go 4-5 times a year.

Station casino's, Harrah's (now Ceasars) gaming both take rewards cards towards sports books. MGM doesn't.

With that said, someone mentioned, "$100 into the slots and get free rooms". Now that is where my wife steps in.

I can go anytime, almost anywhere and get "free" rooms. Usually 3 nights at most MGM properties. In May we stayed 3 nights at Aria and have never stepped foot into the place.

Just got back Sunday from 1 night at Red Rock Resort (my fav LV resort) and 2 nights at Orleans.

Wherever you gamble, USE/GET their rewards cards---they add up!

    ENJOY.

I get points, albeit not many, with my Stations Casino Sports Connection account. I can usually get a few buffets each month and get invited to a private party every other month or so.

MGM has terrible lines on soccer, that is undeniable. Saw an unbelievably bad/unfair USA/Mexico line during their final match a few months ago. Could not believe it. Both sides juiced insane.

It all depends on what you're into. If you want to watch on the best tvs this town has to offer and do in-running betting and don't mind paying extreme hotel prices for drinks, Cantor (Tropicana, Cosmopolitan, Hard Rock) wins. If you like a nice book with individual quality tvs and drink tickets Red Rock is a great spot. If you want the most betting options, some in-running betting, lots of people, and free drinks The Hilton is the place to be. I've heard that all or most PTs taverns will have betting terminals this fall which is awesome if you want the bar experience.

The Caesar's books are cool too (Ballys, Bills, Caesars).

Don't know much about The Rampart sportsbook, but was in there one day and seemed like a cool intimate sportsbook.

As much as I enjoy watching sports there, I always did get an uneasy feeling about the people behind the counter. Funny you say that.

I shit u not, I went to Cosmopolitan on my bday and this bum outside of the door started playing Happy Birthday as I walked past him. Creepy as fukk.

Then I was at M Resort to cash a hefty winning, and being the classic degen cheap ass, I went to their lunch buffet with the bf. I swear I was in that lunch line for an hour when it was practically empty. It was 10am on a Tues afternoon

Another Cosmopolitan experience, it was when roy oswalt had a meltdown and was on the dl list early on the season.... this creepy older Brittish gentlemen sat next to me at the nearly-empty sportsbook. Now, I'm not good-looking, and I look like sh#t when I place my bets, I do not cruise sportsbooks to pick up degens Why did he sit next to me? I've got other degens try to talk to me all the tiime but this guy was well dressed, older and Brittish. I swear I felt he was going to pull a knife and stab me. Creepy fukker. He could've sat at another chair, in another row, or two seats down. Who the fukk doesn't do that?

I've got more fukked up stories about Hilton and Cantors... but too tired to post them.

You can say what you want... but every gambler has some superstitions, and I think Cantor is creepy as fukk and I do not go into any of their casinoes anymore.
