    Bellator 27

Im really liking Joe Soto +105.Both guys come from a wrestling backround, but Soto is more well rounded and has the edge in every area except wrestling. I dont think Joes wrestling alone will be enough in a 5 round fight.

are you sure its a 5 rounder?.. anways good luck, im going with warren... atleast one of us will win

and the reason im going with warren is simply i think warren will be able to dominate with his wrestling... theres a big difference between division lll wrestling and potential Olympic medalist wrestling...

    anyways good luck

I'm tired of going against these elite wrestlers and losing. Soto is the better all-around fighter, but Warren is the better wrestler by far. Warren will probably control him throughout the fight and grind out a boring 5 round decision. This is a no play for me.

2u on Warren here. Yup, he's 1-dimensional... but damn good at it. He'll win this fight by UD on the ground.
His chin is also granite and his cardio is tops. Soto is going to find himself on his back for most of this fight.
I think Soto's only chance is to win by TKO cut or to sub Warren early.

Warren couldn't take Freire down until he gassed, probably should have lost the fight as well...lucky to get that split decision win

hard to bet against Warren at this point, but the fight being 5 rounds is ultimately what swayed me

I dont think that there wrestling backrounds will be that big of a difference in this fight. The last guy warren fought was a bjj guy and he took warren down and was able to stop some of his takedowns. Its gonna be a close fight, but Soto has more ways to win and a better price.

fukin brutal, I actually wrote an entire article dedicated to that little showboating prick

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Free+Picks/S...mpionship.aspx

Unlike Ferrer, Soto has been familiarized to the physical grind of Warren's wrestling style; (wrestled at Iowa Central Community College alongside both Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez) you can expect him to potentially make Warren work harder than he ever has for a takedown.

In the very least, the Wilson Reis fight gave us a descent indication on how Soto will try and keep it standing; his defensive wrestling skills were successfully on display. Soto was able to use his speed and agility to back out of the first few takedowns attempts. Once Reis did finally get him down, Soto showed excellent scramble ability and popped right back up to his feet. Not only should Warren have a tough time getting a hold of Soto, but when he does it should be even harder keeping him down.

Soto's strategy should be fairly simple for this fight; his significant striking edge should give him free reign with his punches, look for him to come out strong and quickly try to measure up his heavy right hand. In the event that Warren does complete an early takedown, Soto will make him expend maximum energy trying to hold him there, while also possessing the ability to seriously threaten off of his back with submission attempts. Look for Warren to tire around the 4th round, by then Soto should be able to force a pace that Warren can't keep up with. I see a stoppage sometime in the last two rounds, most likely by submission.

excited for the warren vs omigawa fight..... going to be interesting since the Japanese judges will not reward warren for inactive top control
