16 year olds who start boxing lessons have better technique than Ben.

I wouldn't even pick Askren is a UFC match, let alone a boxing match.

I'm not even sure why Askren agreed to this?

Hopefully Askren ties him up and says "f*ck it" and suplexes Paul and chokes him out with a twister

If Jake Paul absorbed 50% of the punishment Ben Askren did there.

I think Jake Paul would be dead.

Unless Paul KOd Askren inside 30 secs, Askren would wrestlefuck him in an MMA fight. Would honestly line Askren as a -1000 favorite.

Paul almost certainly wins in a boxing match, although it might be more interesting if Askren trained 6+ months in boxing since he never really focused on boxing during his MMA/wrestling career

I meant a regular MMA match vs an MMA guy, not vs Paul. Paul would get squashed.

You think a random off the street that KO's a retired, past his prime, NBA player.

Has what it takes to hang with a professional athlete and fighter who fought some of the best.

Against someone with by far the worst/slowest hands in the UFC? Yeah. I respect Askren's accomplishments and in an MMA (or street fight), he'd mop the floor with Paul. But his boxing/striking is complete shit. His only shot is to force a bunch of clinches and try and gas out Paul.

Someone like Bisping or Mike Perry would walk right through Paul though.

If Askren spent a month or two training boxing.

    With a legit coach.

    Would his hands improve.

    "Worst/slowest" hands in the UFC.

He never worked on his stand up before, he didn't need to.

His boxing isn't going to improve enough in 2 months of training. Boxing (like any sport) takes a long time to be proficient at. If Askren seriously trained for 6+ months I'd give him a better chance.

This wont be close. Paul will destroy him in a boxing match.

Evidently, he did. I think if Paul fights Conor it'll be a different story though.

This is what I ended up with.

Amazing the difference a few months can make.
