After watching Lee v Iaquinta 1 I'm convinced Lee takes care of business fairly certainly. The first fight Lee was very green, 21 years old and took the fight (his UFC debut) on short notice. It also appeared that Lee hurt his leg/foot in the first round which severely limited his mobility and power. Since then, Lee has been very active and also grew into his body. He knows he needs a big performance to strengthen his case to stay relevant in a very top heavy LW division.

Are others pleasantly surprised that Barboza is even money? Seems like Hooker hasn't faced anyone that is on the same level of pressure/striking that Barboza can bring. Barbs had the tough losses to Lee and Khabib but they are both top 3.

Just bought Fight Pass so will be watching more fights as the week goes on.

    Also leaning Lee currently.

Barboza is not a pressure striker. He often fights off the back foot.

At evens ill take Hooker all day, Barboza is a sensational striker but chiny, still havent pulled the trigger think odds can get better

Only bet i have atm Meerschaert and thats it, i might fire a lil bit on Al just for fun the odds seem about right tho, still recovering for the Tyson Pedro hit i had him in a 10 leg parlay and other 3 leg parlay and ML at -212

Al Iaquinta better tune up his wrestling for this match up.. He can hang with Kevin Lee standing but it's when Kevin Lee goes into wrestling mode and decides to shot AL probably will end up on his back.. Al is tough to keep down and his wrestling isn't that bad.. This actually is a good fight and match up..

I'm leaning Kevin Lee still as wrestlers rule..

Dan Ige is another of Khabib's sparring/training partners. Another guy from hawaii. Hope he does better than violent Bob Ross did.

Jessica Rose Clark has improved her strength and conditioning. Could be a live dog if that was the hole in her game.

Edson Barboza coming back from two back-to-back beatings. I wonder where he's @ mentally. Is he discouraged? Not training as hard? Has he given up on being a champion and decided to show up for paychecks? Is he 100% healthy after eating all those blows to the head?

People say Raging Al is a good wrestler for fending off Khabib's takedowns. IMO Khabib is a different type of wrestler from Kevin Lee. I think Lee is more of a power double leg guy whereas Khabib is more trips, reaps, angles, etc. I haven't seen either of them fight in a long time, I could be remembering wrong have to watch tape to say with certainty.

I really like Adam Milstead over Mike Rodriguez. And it looks like I am mostly on my own island here with the early action and line movement. Similar to Katona last week. But I am liking this play a lot. Also liking Barboza. And Lee and Silva. But mainly Milstead. I've been nailing these cards lately, yet missing my last two biggest bets each week with short dogs. Hoping to cash a big one with a favorite that I feel should be at least a little bit bigger favorite.

Edson Barboza moved to American Top Team after his two recent losses(he's been training there around 4-5 months leading up to this fight with Dan Hooker):

Looks like he wanted to get in there ASAP after his loss to Kevin Lee.

First thought is, i think i like Dan Hooker in this spot. Forwards pressure, long ass limbs, no worry of getting taken down. Leg kicks from barboza are a concern if you cant pressure him adequately.

Jack hermansson? Given that muchup any thought? Havent watched tape yet, but from first glance im thinking its going to be a somewhat even fight first round until Hermannsson stops screwing around and finish the fight by ground and pound.

You’re from Scandinavia right? I think Meerschaert is a bit underrated and has a grappling advantage here. Hermansson is definitely the more technical striker and better roundwinner so Meerschaert may need a finish to win. Eyeing a few props for this one but won’t have huge exposure.

Watched tape. I agree with your assessment. Meerschaert is very good defensively on the ground, also in combination with just being overall very tough. I thought Meerschaert was less athletic also, so that sucks. So im def not going to bet this one.

And yes, i am from Scandi, Norway.

I actually stopped and thanked Hermansson on the street a couple of month ago. I was driving actually..."ey...you....youre hermansson right", with my whole upper body hanging out, at the red light. That made him laugh. I didnt care to much, i just shouted out, "that come from behind win, top 10 most insane things i ever seen, godspeed etc" He ran over and thanked me. Seems like a super kind person. You would def not think that man had this lethal ground and pound from the looks of it.

If I remember right, Jack Hermansson out-grappled Thales Leites while fighting with an injured rib last time out.

Hermansson out-grappled Thales Leites who has a 3rd degree black belt in BJJ but Meerschaert has the grappling advantage?

How did you come to this conclusion?

Maybe I'll be proven wrong here but this goes with what I said earlier about Hugo perhaps not being as solid as some think.
