This one of those bets, just like with Piechota. Everybody and their grandmother said Saki was going to win, also Piechota, but the line stayed around -200. A lot of silent bettors were pushing the line the other way.

Props. The more decorated, "better", striker got knocked out in the 1st. I stayed away from this one but good call.

There were so many reasons not to trust Saki nor Rountree.

Just bet whoever was the dog and sit back.

Fighter interviews are completely worthless when you try to cap a fight.

I never hear this from lets say :Hugo shagdog or turbo.

It's not the most important source to cap a fight but to say it's completely worthless is just stupid.

that is simple not true. There are times it is worth it. I heard Perry on Luke Thomas show and i was shocked at his mindset going into the Felder fight. I bet it had to do with going to Jacksons camp. I thought he was just a braindead striker who just wanted to rumble but he was spot on with his thoughts about his fight.

I'd say most of what you hear in interviews don't help your betting. But some of it really does. You get a glimpse of a fighter's mindset going into the fight. What they're training for, what their strategy is, what they expect from their opponent . What other things they have going on in their lives which could help or hinder their performance. What kind of mood they're in. A little insider info.

i agree with that. U always hear how healthy a guy is. Haven't heard one yet say something like "my ankle is banged up" A lot of it is just nonsense but there are some gems to work with.

I def don’t try to prioritize interviews when looking for reasons to make bets. Always trust fight tape more than anything. But that said any useful info can’t hurt.

Hearing Anthony Pettis say he wasn’t going to push wrestling in his camps anymore and work his BJJ off is back instead definitely proved true vs Chiesa. I also didn’t see him in any of Sergio Pettis’s Instagram posts leading up to the Benavidez fight where he was clearly working his wrestling a lot. It confirmed my thoughts that showtime wasn’t doing the same. So you can get little bits here and there but in this case I prob let their attitudes and mindsets in interviews sway me a bit too much.
