Time for Maia to retire I think or just do grappling tourneys only.. He's proved enough already in the UFC no shame.....

    Covington is a punk...

Maia doesn't want to go to Bellator either.. Rory Mac is sitting there.. He'll take an even worse beating if he goes to Bellator..

Yeah I'm not a big Woodley fan but I'm not sure CC can take him down or outstrike him. Seems like a bad matchup for "Chaos"

^^^Woodley knocks out Covington on a future note maybe.... Covington can be hit as shown in this fight.. Woodley hits a bit harder then Maia....... Wrestling cancels each other out in that future match up..

woodley is 10x faster and probably hits at least 5x harder then maia... covington will come out hot against twood and try to gas him like he just did in this scrap... he better be careful because if he eats a hook from woodley like he did maia he will be laying on the canvas sleeping

Maia had a weird gameplan. He was getting Colby to overextend and even landed some nice lefts in Rd1 so that would've been a good time to shoot for a TD in an exchange. Instead, he decided to strike for almost the whole of Rd1, and go for sloppy TDs in Rd2 when already gassed.

I'm on the same. Brunson might starch him early, but he also might get jump right into a counter. He did give Silva a lot of respect but went back to his roots against Kelly.

definitely will be looking to fade Covington when the wrong matchup comes for him. the Maia we just saw was clearly, very well past his prime. similar to Cerrone the other week. It just is what it is I guess, these guys fade out. And hell, there was some brutality tonight, guys barely surviving the bell, looking dead after their carried to their bench, then sent out a minute later after a Dr. confirms they know their name and the country they're in. I can understand how even the baddest-ass dudes can find themselves past their prime very fast.

Machida is old and has been out for while, if he gets clipped he goes down.. I still want Machida to win on the straight and ITD though...

If Covington couldn't finish a 0% Maia, I don't think he's capable of finishing anybody at all past the 1st round.

Colby said on twitter that Tyron Woodley has more skeletons in his closet than War Machine (Jon Kopenhaver) the guy in prison for attempting to murder Christy Mack.

That fight will be personal if it ever materializes.

It's good so see some new studs in Till, Perry, Covington, and Usman in the WW Division.

he actually got pretty deep on some of those single legs but covingtons hips were to strong ... colbys striking didnt look to impressive though imo, he has a lot of defensive flaws and if twood doesnt get gassed i think he gets starched.. smart marketing by covington starting all that shit because rankings wise im not sure he deserves the scrap , itll come down to if masvidal beats wonderboy imo.. if he wins by a ko or something exciting masvidal vs twood if not i think theyll go covington vs t wood

I disagree. I think he stayed off of Maia for most of R3 for fear of getting pulled into the grappling like Masvidal did. Covington will finish some top 10 WWs in 5-round fights with volume GnP or subs like he did to Wang, Meunier, Griffin etc.
