I agree... He should be a better version of Fitch as they are similar fighters in a sense... If Jake is still training hard and the same fighter and doesn't gas out he should beat JF.. Fitch will try to grind on him though... Shields has better ground then Finch and is probably the better striker..

I tried betting a couple fights last night.. Came out on the losing end.. I just can't bet a venue in JAPAN with aged fighters that can juice...

Good luck Locky hope your chasing pays off... I'm taking a pass on that...

Is a Rosholt/Gaethje/Branch parlay really pushing your luck, or reasonable? You've got two guys who are -400ish, and then the underwhelming but solid Rosholt to round it out in a match with closer odds... I'm thinking about it but would appreciate any input.

What about tossing Shields into that parlay? Four favorites and you end up getting better than +200 odds...

    Edit - Hello everyone

    Not pushing your luck..

Big favorites usually hit more often then not in these smaller venues like WSOF and BELLATOR... Odds makers nail it most of the time.. I love Gaethje and Branch and both ITD..

Rosholt should wrestle his way to victory also but there is a chance he could gas and get dropped late, still I like Rosholts chances in this one..

Hmm, ok. Thanks Jibby. Sorry for all the questions.

I feel like Rosholt's opponent is one of those dime a dozen Brazilian MMA practitioners that fights sporadically and is probably already working 40 plus hour weeks. Rosholt is simply ok, but knows how to win a fight. He's hardly in with a top 10ish guy like Roy Nelson or Struve.

What are your thoughts on the Fitch/Shields match-up? I'm very interested in it despite a lot of people crapping on it (Blanket jokes galore)

Fitch is a grinder, but not as talented as Shields in any area.. Shields has the better chin also..

If Shields has been training and is in great shape and still the same fighter I love his chances against Jon Fitch..

If Shields is not in great shape Jon Fitch could grind and out work Shields to a decision win..

I'm going with Shields as he looks in good shape and seems motivated in interviews like this..http://mmajunkie.com/2016/12/jake-sh...on-fitch-early

I just remembered, I read an article that said Fitch and Shields have grappled twice. I believe Shields won both. Mental edge maybe? Hope so, every little bit helps towards feeling confident about it.

I know Jon Fitch looks ripped and cut at weigh ins... Shields just looks fit and skinny so that has me just a bit worried.. I'm sure Shields is good shape for this fight though, he needs this win...

Hmm. Shields has been actively competing in grappling tournaments since his match-up with Palhares right? Wondering if he's been in the gym, pretty long time off for a nearly 40 year old fighter. Can't imagine he isn't in good shape though, guy is gym rat isn't he?

Exactly.. Okami is a shell of the fighter he use to be in the UFC IMO, Bradley has picked up some quality wins lately... http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Paul-Bradley-19726

I think he knocks out Okami in this scrap..

Okami does seem markedly more fragile than he used to. Wonder if the bullish Bradley can pull a Boetsch and really rough him up and hopefully take him out.

Right exactly.. Okami was a better fighter back then when the Barbarian took him out in the UFC...

No guarantees on this but I took a shot at it to go along with the straight...
