I kinda don't like it, no offense to Tpow whom is a strong capper IMO...

MJ is extremely hard to knock out or finish bottom line.. Alot of MJ's recent fights have gone to decision against strong strikers as well.. 4 of his last 5 against stiff comp if you wanna hit the stats up and get technical... http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Michael-Johnson-68788

DP is knocking people out of the box lately, but still MJ has never been knocked out cold.. Dustin Porier has gone to decision in one of his last 2 fights also.. I think this one could possibly go to decision with DP getting the nod.. Maybe, but wouldn't bet on that either..

I'm staying away from the over/unders in this fight.. . Too sketchy to play IMO especially at - odds..

There is better + odd bets to grab on this card if you ask me..

    Joseph Duffy vs DP decision..

Do Michael Johnson and Dustin Poirier train out of the same gym?

Strange how the UFC is making a ton of teammate fights lately.

Don't know Tpow, maybe or maybe not if those fighters knew and prepared for a 5 rounder?

Like I said it's an iffy bet IMO that can go either way and at those -210 odds to not go the distance I gotta pass even in a 5 rounder.. MJ is tough as nails and built to last..

Fighters train and prepare to fight for 5 rounds and pace themselves if it does go past the first couple rounds.. It's a mind set especially with the experienced UFC vets that are use to going the distance like MJ.... Just saying..

Wish ya luck bud if you did jump on that ITD bet.. Might land..

I always read your posts Tpow, respk for your MMA capping skills when you do post.. No disrespect just offering up my opinion based on recent stats..

Personally if I had to bet between the fight not going the distance at -210 or the O2.5 at -140 I'd take the Over 2.5..

    UFC Fight Night 94 - Lightweight 5 rounds - State Farm Arena - Hidalgo, Texas - FS1
    Sat 9/17 1001 Michael Johnson +145 o2½ -140
    11:59PM 1002 Dustin Poirier -165 u2½ +120

I'd say if you are looking for the O/U's and you think these guys are gonna come out swinging and finish then take the U2.5 at +120.. Chances are if this fight goes past 2.5 rounds it's probably going the distance on the flip side..

And gotta side with Jibby here o2.5 at -140 is way more value then -200 fight not going the distance... Both guys are super tough and gritty this fight could easily go to the judges ... People read into the last 3 fights far to much hence why the public losses money always, just because porier has some finishes lately doesn't mean he will finish every single guy , Johnson goes to decision a crap load and he has great movements / cardio plus both guys have solid chins.. 5 round fights are tough but -200 to much for my liking

Took the under here for 2u at (+140) a few days ago since all of these guys career finishes come in the first 2 rounds. We'll see how this one shakes out.

Chas Skelly's cardio only lasted 1 round in his last fight with Darren Elkins.

He gased out in his fight with Kevin Souza also.

Hopefully his stamina holds up better tomorrow.

I'm glad everyone is doing well at the beat the prick contest.

    People are underestimating Johnson.

This is a much closer fight than people are giving it credit for being.

You can win some decent cash prizes and sometimes there are satellites into events like the World Series of Poker.

Yeah I think Dunham probably grinds him out but felt the value was on Glenn by later stoppage.

I highly doubt this fight goes the distance let alone start the 3rd round.. My only play for reasonable odds.. May still hit the GOMEZ KO for $50 at +178 since all his wins come by way of KO..

How much credit do you guys give to Michael Johnson's speed advantage? His best performances come to guys where he circles around his opponent and counter punching. (vs Tibau.for example). Poirier is slow/ too telegraphed striking I feel.

I give MJ a chance just because of his toughness and chin strength.. If they get to trading in the pocket DP's chin could get cracked.. We've seen DP dropped before..

DP is the more technical striker though, more tools in the shed.. I don't see a huge speed advantage in this fight for either guy.. DP has also been on a tear lately since changing weight classes..
