    Eddie Alvarez - overrated???

Eddie is ranked as the #1 contender but I think he is highly overrated for this position. He beat an aging Melendez and exposed Pettis (there are better wrestlers that would have done the same or better.)

I don't see Eddie beating anyone in the top 10 - especially in a 5 rounder. I like Eddie but I think his ranking is an illusion.

I think there is good money to be made on him in his next fight.

All dependent on who he fights IMO. He's a super tough guy but that won't be enough the elite of the elite who have decent takedown defense and striking like Pettis

I don't know if Eddie is still down at ATT but that's where Poirier is too. They may still be teammates.
