He beat a Sergio Martinez who only had one functional knee and couldn't spar in camp because of it. If you saw the fight you saw Sergio could hardly move in the first round. Nobody is saying he is a bum but his career has been resurrected with careful matchmaking against Rodriguez and Daniel Geale (whom GGG smashed prior). Cotto got stripped of the WBC title two days ago as well so the title is only on the line for Alvarez to win. I think a nice hedge with Cotto decision +475 (he's not knocking Canelo out) and a sprinkle on the draw is wise. I would LIVE bet Canelo after a few early rounds as Cotto should win a couple so you may be able to get a better number on Alvarez.

yes martinez was hobbled but he could have postponed fight.

i really like both fighters and i will likely make a few bets at mb just before main event starts. right now i'm thinking of placing bets on the over and canelo inside the distance and if cotto stops canelo i lose both.

I'm pretty sure it will go to the cards. Sprinkling on Alvarez in round 10, 11 and 12 is +2000 a piece. Of course there is round group betting to consider as well.

I've never tried sprinkling on a round by round basis, but I like this advice especially at these odds. I also like the advice of live betting this to try to get a better line on Alvarez. I don't like the value at -300, even though I believe he will win. Hopefully can grab a better line as you said if he starts out slow and gives a few early rounds away.

ok so to get + money on both plays i will bet the under 11.5 and canelo by dec. barring a cotto decision or draw i can make a little coin while sitting ringside.

Next up this weekend. Klitschko over Fury. Wladimir is traditionally more aggressive against bigger opponents but Fury is quite durable so I won't be taking a decision or a KO/TKO/DQ. Same theory applies, Fury may win an early round or 2 but it is not something I am counting on, especially in Germany. I see the line has moved from -450 to -500. There is probably some value in Klitschko decision +175.

After taking the Cotto #L i'm going to try and bounce back with Klitschko by KO at -110…We'll see how it goes

Jibby it is a nice story, not really fun though. Fight had a ton of potential to be a great barn burner of a war, instead we get the quick flash KO. Hope they rematch but not sure they will as this fight failed to generate much hype outside of the New York area. Just my thoughts, some of it could be bias as I lost about 1.8 units on it.

I got crushed on betting Kid Chocolate big on this one. I really thought he would be to much for Jacobs, but he got caught and that was that. I wonder if there will be a rematch also. There really wasn't much buzz nationally as you said, and I would think it would be hard to sell tix in New York after people didn't get much for there money the first fight.

You couldve just bet fight ITD if you wanted Quillen, no chance he was going to win a decision there, with his inactivity and tendency to slow down in there.. Was like -130, or the under 9½ was +125 if not better

Quillin won decisions against N'Dam(UD) and Lee(SD) in the exact same building.

Thoughts on Andy Lee vs Billy Joe Saunders? I've seen Lee fight a ton, but know nothing about Saunders. Its priced as a 50/50 fight at the moment.

Saunders is the much better boxer with much better output. But Lee can throw some ungodly power. Will watch line and post play later

Thanks, I appreciate your input on this matchup.

Lee is fun to watch fight because he can look so horrible for most of the fight, and then completely change things with that power.

Yep.. Saunders is quite defensively responsible, always keeps his base, control in the clinch. Won't follow Lee around and walk into a right hook like most of his KO victims does. Totally shut down Christ Eubanks inside game aswell, which is quite impressive.

I'll have to youtube some Saunders fights and take a look at him. Sounds like he might be to sound for Lee's limited game.

Saunders +110 and -110, and by decision.. One could also hit Lee ITD if that's what youre feeling

Much thanks for the input. Probably sprinkle a little on Lee by KO just for the heck of it, but it sounds like he's going to get a boxing lesson from Saunders. Looking forward to a fun fight.

I like Saunders tonight and am loving some of the dogs. Jennings +120, Rosado +160, and a tiny shot on Sosa +925.

Depends on if you believe in the Shrabanskyy hype. I thought Gonzales won a clear decision over Pascal in his last fight, which is extremely impressive to me. He's a big strong bruiser, good inside game. Shrabran got knocked down by a bum a couple of times in his last fight.

    Personally am on Gonzales -140
