Kinda leaning OSP as the slight dog going in.. I'm finished calling him overrated and betting against him..I lose everytime...

My thinking is this fight probably remains standing and OSP will be game, even against Glover Tex... Glover Tex has lost 2 fights in a row now.. Glover let Phil Davis beat him in a decision loss in his last fight.. That's not good sign for Glover as he may be lossing his edge and slipping a bit.... OSP is rolling right now and looked pretty good in knocking out the wrestler in Patrick Cummings.....

This card got next!!! Decent card for the most part..

I am glad to see this card will be held in the United States.. I find those Mexican and Brazilian UFC cards to be very tricky at times personally speaking...

I see Sam Alvey is on this card, the question is does his recent string of KO wins continue against a bruiser like Brunson? I think not.. Smiling Sam has been knocking out bums and Brunson is not a bum.. Brunson has a good chin and has never been KO'd..

I don't think Sam Alvey comes out of this one smiling.. At -265 I wish those odds were a little better for Brunson though...http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Derek-Brunson-68494

I just placed on Dariush thinking that line might move closer to even come fight time... I just hope Dariush doesn't get caught standing like he did against Ramsey Nijem 5 fights ago..http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Beneil-Dariush-56583

MJ does have very good striking as he just out pointed Edson Barboza in a decision win, that's not easy to do!!! I just don't think he hits that hard.. I also really like what I've seen from Daruish in his last 4 UFC wins.. The kid is really talented and I think he's got a better ground game then MJ and that may be the difference in this fight..

I may also take Daruish by sub win if the odds are really favorable when out...... Kid is very slick with his TD's and submissions even though he's probably not a better wrestler then MJ...

    $200.00 $270.00 Pending 8/8/15 11:59pm UFC Fighting 1101 Beneil Dariush +135* vs Michael Johnson

Couple of cans in Tom Watson and Chris Camozzi are facing off.. Remember Souza just steam rolled Camozzi and made him look like a child.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Chris-Camozzi-17224

Tom Watson might have a chance in this one at +135.. Only problem is Tom Watson is a stand up fighter and Camozzi is very durable standing.. Gotta ponder over this play as Tom Watson has never been KO'd either though.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Tom-Watson-15179

I will say this - The over looks very good as you know this one is most likely going to decision.. Both these guys are durable and decision goers against stand up based fighters... Tom Watson has faced and endured better submission fighters then Camozzi also if this fight hits the ground..

UFC Fight Night 73 - Middleweight 3 rounds - Bridgestone Arena - Nashville, Tennessee
    Sat 8/8 1401 Tom Watson +135 o2½ -225
    10:30PM 1402 Chris Camozzi -155 u2½ +185

Tom Watson did edge out Sam Alvey in a decision win last year.. Not sure Camozzi is any better then Alvey... Hmmm?

Watson winning by decision might be the best value play in this fight when that prop comes out.. Moving on...

Thanks Miri as I'm trying to represent after picking Soa in the last UFC event and going belly up with that pig.. Gonna try to nail down some solid plays in this event and get back on the horse...

    Uriah Hall vs Bamgbose..

This is whom Bamgbose trains with at C1 New York in this picture below.. I don't see anyone in this picture that I recognize besides Bamgbose..

Bamgbose does look quick on his feet and appears to pack some power with his punches.. Undefeated so far at only 5-0 and all by 1st round KO's against mostly stiffs....http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Oluwale-Bamgbose-103153 Uriah Hall kinda sucks also..

I might also try this no name kid against Hall as well if the odds jump over +350.. With ya MMA Oracle on that..

May look for that Bamgbose KO prop when it comes out and roll the dice..

Bamgbose really isn't that good though..

Agreed, not much stands out, leans on Johnson, Watson/Chris over rounds, Gates/ortiz over rounds, OSP/glover over rounds.

^^^Some of these fights are difficult to pick and bet on fellas, I agree - Dog friendly perhaps.

Jared Rosholt vs Timothy Johnson for example could get tricky. Leaning towards the wrestler Jared myself..

Jared Rosholt just has to be very careful not to get caught standing in this one.. Big Timothy Johnson 9-1 does have some zip in his punches and could conceivably defend a few TD's and drop Rosholt standing just like Derrick Lewis did....

He also does have a nasty habit of knocking out grapplers lately.. Travis Huff just got tagged by him... http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Timothy-Johnson-72706

This fight is really tough to bet on at those odds... May roll the dice and play Johnson by KO for small if the odds are really favorable.. The Over and Rosholt to win are tempting as well via the Rosholt lay and pray theory.... Tough fight to nail down!!!!

UFC Fight Night 73 - Heavyweight 3 rounds - Bridgestone Arena - Nashville, Tennessee
    Sat 8/8 1301 Timothy Johnson +190 o1½ -175
    11:00PM 1302 Jared Rosholt -230 u1½ +155

Could be a lot of opportunity on this card.

Amanda Nunes @ +200 could be one. Will Gates @ +373 could be another if he can wrestle with Ortiz. There are a few other dogs that could cash.

Could be alot of DOG opportunities indeed on this card.. It will be gambling though... Thinking I might play the majority of them myself.. Perhaps more then half the dogs on this card could cash after going over this entire card..

I think the only sure favorites to cash are Holtzman and Brunson to be honest.. All other dogs I believe on this card have a chance to hit.. I may just play the entire card just like that as well.. Very dog heavy... Still waiting to read all the media write ups that come out first though... I may have missed something on a few fights...

Even the heavy favorite Ray Borg could possibly lose to this undefeated 8-0 Herrara +385 new comer to the UFC...http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Geane-Herrera-79290

Why do people think Holtzman is good?

I'm picking Anthony Christodolou to win that 1.

    Maybe that explains my username.

Ya know Sanity perhaps you're right.. This could be another dog that could possibly hit..

I've been hearing some hype riding behind this undefeated "hot sauce" kid though..http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Scott-Holtzman-78210 I could see him getting the KO pound out in this fight as he seems fairly solid from what I've seen in his fight vids from the top position... Then again he's faced and beat alot of suspect .500 fighters only thus far in lessor organizations...

I don't know too much about this kid Anthony Christod yet other then he's probably pretty good with his submissions training at Renzo Gracie Fight Acadamy.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Antho...todoulou-53712 He's one fight deep into the ufc and got knocked out by the Russian Taismohov (13 ko's) ..

Sanity I will say this though, first fight dogs on just about every UFC card in the last few months have landed.. This Anthony kid does have 17 pro fights under his belt as well.. Might be worth a shot to try this dog even though he looked like crap in his last fight.. Odds are really fat...

I don't do this often but I'm rolling with every dog in this event except for one.. Will bet each accordingly and evenly.. Just hoping one out of every two hit in all honesty.... If every other dog hits then this will be a winning event... Dogs do look very capable of hitting with this event after careful review..

This write up makes a good case as to why this should be a very good event to watch if anything else.

I like Dariush a lot in this 1. Yeah MJ is good but Dariush is better everywhere, trains with the champ at Kings, and his learning curve is fast. Dariush tooled Jim Miller on the ground with his wrestling a BJJ. MJ is not better than Miller on the ground. Yes MJ beat Barboza at his own game but he really pressured Barboza and was not threatened with TD's. Dariush will take him down if MJ rushes in.

Sleeper pick - go small on Bambgose. He's a big dog and he can beat Hall. Hall lacks the mental.

Hopefully the McMann line will get better. Nunes is good but she fades. Cat rag dolled Nunes. McMann will too and win a decision.

I agree..... Chances of that landing are astronomical.. I would probably start hedging after the first 8 or 9 straight wins on that parlay anyways..

If that did hit I wouldn't cash out.. I'd just try to lose 400k first with crazy big bet losing parlays and then try to cash out the remaining $100k balance a year or two down the road.. Then maybe I'd get a check, still might not though...

It would be a hell of a story though wouldn't it?... I will break that 13 team parlay into two seperate $5 parlays just in case.. A 6 teamer and 7 teamer before fight time..

Agreed in regards to Dariush winning..

If the fight remains standing it could get interesting though.. MJ I think has the better chin and he is deceptively good with his boxing... That's the only concern I have going into this one... I got a couple bennys riding on Dariush.. GL Cap...

Tibau is a solid journeyman. He can beat mid tier guys but always loses to the top guys. 5 of his last 9 wins have been split dec wins too.

Dariush is very good already at a young age. MJ has been on a mission but he loses this one.

I have $400 on Dariush. That's my big bet for the night. GL to you too!

Dariush is very good already at a young age. MJ has been on a mission but he loses this one.
See, that's at total fallacy. Tibau's wrestling is some of the best/most explosive in the division, and he couldn't get MJ down. Last part of your post is just dribble.

I can appreciate some proper discussion about the fight, but that's not what you're bringing to the table. - If it hits the ground though, MJ is in trouble.
