The UFC has released four more fighters from it’s roster following a loss by each fighter in the month of December.
According to MMASurvival.com, Kevin Burns, Edgar Garcia, Shane Nelson, and Darrill Schoonover have all been released by the UFC.
Burns had dropped three straight bouts, after starting 2-0 in the UFC. He last appeared at UFC 107 against TJ Grant, losing via TKO to the Canadian.
Garcia lost both of his UFC bouts, first to Brad Blackburn by split decision at the TUF 9 Finale and then to Damarques Johnson at UFC 107, losing by submission.
Nelson has lost his last two bouts, going 2-2 in the UFC. He dropped a unanimous decision to Matt Wiman at UFC 107 in his last fight.
Schoonover, after going an impressive 10-0 in his professional career, lost his UFC debut at the TUF 10 Finale to James McSweeney via TKO. Schoonover was also recalled back by the Army, noted that he would be serving as a member of Operation Enduring Freedom possibly in Afghanistan.
